While I personally enjoyed the Joe Rogan and Trump interview (only watched half of it don't quiz me), I think it is a little underhanded that both parties use celebrities and other famous people to leverage their own candidates' popularity. We now have Leonardo Dicaprio, Taylor Swift, Hulk Hogan, Elon Musk, Lil Pump, Lil Jon, and many others, coming out of the woodworks voicing their opinions on official platforms about who they are going to vote for. I personally think that celebrities can voice their opinions as they are also U.S. citizens, but the fact of the matter is that no matter which side they're on they already have millions of dollars in the bank. What they believe is right for the country is coming from a million dollar bias.
I believe it is completely senseless to take at face value what any celebrity says who they're voting for. They have plenty of motivations to publicly announce whatever or whoever OUSIDE OF what they actually believe in. What will affect the country in the aftermath with either candidate will not affect these people at all. The unfortunate fact is that democracy in its pure unadulterated form is a popularity contest, so this leverage is highly advantageous and has been used since at least the 60's.

At this point I believe that they're still evenly split even with early polling data, as I've seen lots of conflicting info. What do you think?

The general population aren't going to be that enthusiastic about one presidential candidate over the other, including their speeches which can last up to multiple hours long, but the people will be a bit more excited when a celebrity takes up the stage

Mostly because entertainment appeals more to the general audience than politics

Anyone who do not take a side when fascism is at the door of power is making the choice to let it rise.
