But the world was actually better off with Makima. Everything is going to shit in this fight. Chaos everywhere. Concepts erased left and right.

At least Denji has some what of a plan, and is doing what he's doing to stop one of the strongest devils in history from getting her way and turning the world into an endless war for all of eternity. And I'm sure that he'll eventually fix the world and get rid of Yoru in some way, too. Makima wouldn't be able to do the things that Denji and Pochita do.
