this is starting to feel like roger and/or garp won't really defeat xebec (although they will clash, i expect a roger/xebec haki clash seeing as roger really stood in xebec's way during ch 1096)... roger can absolutely fight xebec, don't get me wrong... the family makes all of this bigger than a pirate fight to get women and treasure.
govt will land the final and fatal blow on him cuz they'll hold the wife and teach so he either surrenders or absolutely lowers his entire guard.

tf happened to linlin? throughout these flashback chapters she keeps having the best/sanest/smartest takes... to think what she once was - and what she became... 
nice to see dragon actually do something... being the only person in the marines with a functioning conscience must've sucked pretty bad. almost feeling sorry for him here.
...and then i got to the end of the chapter and all i could think was: imagine being garp? just imagine helping those creatures, lending their 'rabbit hunt' your power and strength so that it wouldn't fall through because of xebec? imagine being so rotten?
