I wonder what happened at the end there
Shin clearly isn't dead so maybe he planted a vision of him getting killed in X's head so that Takamura mode gets turned off (no more bloodlust around)?
But it still leaves the civs there, and Shin was sure they were in the line of fire which is why he needed to act
But this idea could still work:
> X "kills" Shin
> Shin is dead - no longer a target
> X focuses on civs
> Shin blindsides him because he no longer exists in the Takamura bloodlust receptors? Maybe?

Ooooh, that's really smart! I like that a lot! So Shin would be like causing mental illusions/hallucinations. Good use of his power, nice!
