Character Discussion Characters you used to like but don't like anymore ?

characters I liked that I have come to dislike
Katakuri(started off cool then became mad corny)
big mom(hunger pains killed her)
sanji(Zoro was always my favorite but sanji was a close second pre timeskip but oda ruined him post timeskip)
characters with wasted potential

hawkins (love him still but me and kejon are In a drought)

Many. Luffy, hasnt even developed proper wisdom of how a strong MC is supposed to be. Author's treatment is also way too fluctuative and inconsistent, humiliating his character or powerlevel at one moment and put him on a pedestal at the next. Zoro, way too cool-badass-oriented and bleach-like. Chopper, great various forms but too full of cute gimmick.
I still like them but not as much as--
"NAMI! YOU ARE MY NAKAMA!"
or
"go ahead and take the head...BUT JUST TAKE MY HEAD INSTEAD OF HIS! I WILL BECOME WSS, I'D SAY MY HEAD IS ALSO A GOOD DEAL!"

Luffy and Sanji
Luffy post TS is one of the greddiest cunts in shonen history. His lack of care has lead his team downwards multiple times simply bcs - HE wanted to do something. His careless behaviour and kick aas first ask question later mentality nearly decimated the crew more than once. On top of that literally everyone in the crew have this mentality to sacrifice for Luffy meanwhile how many times you saw Luffy saying he is willing to die so that Zoro can be WSS or Nami can achieve her dream or Robin her? Crew's dreams have been put on hold for the sake of Luffy's. He also became Lord Jesus of One Piece and can achieve anything he wants even if its just punching something over and over. He went from a kid with a dream and desire to Lord Messiah that basically is solo character at this point

Kaido : Started out as badass , but his Oden obsession is cringy.
Yamato : Was happy to see strong female fighter , but again her Oden obsession is cringy. Hope that she will get character development so I can like her again.
Chopper and Robin : Don't completely dislike them , it's mostly due to their character progression after time skip.
Zoro : He was cool back then , he become too bland after tskp . His quirks we don't get to see much after tskp. Also his fan base is way too toxic in this forum so usually avoid talking about him , which lead to dislike him.

Chopper and Robin : Don't completely dislike them , it's mostly due to their character progression after time skip.

I still like them but I don't like some of the moments Nami, Usopp and Chopper had. Oda has to stop with the cowardice gags regarding their characters.
They are in the next pirate king crew ffs and we are reaching EOS.
Besides they can act super cool sometimes.
Other than that I don't like that Robin has been reduced to having morbid comments on the background and I don't like post TS Franky's design.
I also wish Zoro and Sanji had more fights.
Brook is fine.
Regarding Luffy, he kept some traits that he had before the TS like his confidence and cockiness, his carefree mind and the way he gets attached to people fast. That's good because I liked that in his character.
I also like how his willpower is getting stronger with time implying a haki growth. And his desire to become stronger is also a good thing, he trains more than pre ts because he understands that the enemies are powerful contrary to what people seem to think. So that's character development.

The guy dropped everything to invade a Yonko's territory with only 4 people for the sake of one of his crew members. Even plotted to kill Big Mom if it meant saving Sanji. Luffy would die for any of his crewmates.
And since when has anything been about Luffy being selfish for his dream since post skip? From the second they stepped foot into the New World, it's been on big build up towards Wano, and saving the samurai. Did they got to Dressrosa for Luffy's dream? Did they go to Zou for Luffy's dream? Was the basis for invading WCI for Luffy's dream? Was the basis for going to Wano to take down Kaido for Luffy's dream?
