I think the Clear-Clear fruit does not simply make you invisible, instead it clears your presence completely if mastered, it could possibly counter even observation haki.
My reasoning for this is Moriah's escape from MF, Absalom came for Moriah and probably carried him far away from MF and even though there were many great observation haki users on MF not even one of theme sensed Absalom because his presence was completely cleared. If my theory is right Shiryu will be the perfect counter for someone like Katakuri.

It would be too broken. I think there is some way for anyone strong enough to hide his presence for a while from any CoO user but not for long.
It should be something that exhausts you very quickly but effective.

I expect the only way to counter it is to let Shiryu slice you so you can see where he is and then you can either grab his sword or cover him with blood.
