Powers & Abilities CoC negation and Immortality

Shanks cuts off Harald’s leg but then immediately afterwards Shanks says that his attacks aren’t doing anything because of Harald’s CoC

What’s going on here?

I’m gonna assume that Shanks is talking about his CoC having been negated. Even if His attacks actually managed to cut of Harald’s leg, he knows that not enough CoC entered Harald to slow down Harald’s regeneration

Remember that the point isn’t to just damage Harald, it’s to do AdvCoC damage. So Harald’s CoC shield negates Shanks and Gaban’s CoC so that even if they do end up damaging him, it’s not AdvCoC damage so it doesn’t matter

Isn't it obvious that Haki Users can cover their entire Bodies in Haki?
Is this something New?

Gaban explains it. The more they regen, the more time it takes until it runs out.

I'm assuming Marco's DF works similarly.
