Not sure if there is already a thread to talk about it. If so just let me know and I delete this (if I can) and post there.
I wanted to talk and understand the criticism towards some movies of DC universe. Specially Batman, Superman and Justice League.
I saw many downplaying Zac Snyder's movies a lot. Critiquing his dark themes, violence, and now it became a good humor the difference between his aura farming version of Superman and the most recent one saving even ants.
How I see things?
When it comes to HQs I'm more like the casual public. I'm not a big fan but I enjoy a good movie, good story etc. I think his Superman movie is great, it has everything you expect in a superman movie. I think his Batman vs Superman is good, it has some problems like jokes in the wrong time, the "Martha" solution to make peace between them but it is still a good movie. I'd say the Justice League one is still decent, although worse than the Batman vs Superman, bad villain, bad plot specially with how Superman returns enraged. But to me the worst problem was the Flash character that really didn't hit. And the cyborg that wasn't developed.
Now one thing that intrigues me is when people talk about Ben Affleck Batman. I mean... What's wrong with him? He is not as athletic as Christian Bale one but is still pretty strong. He is an arrogant billionaire like he is suppose to be, is his mask so people never think he cares about others and saves them like Batman. But then this new Batman Twilight comes out and everyone praises it like it was so different from what we had before? Even darker themes, the very thing they always complained about Zac Snyder universe.
The new Batman movie literally sucks. Batman is totally irrelevant for the movie development. I didn't saw the new Superman or Fantastic Four but it seems to be having a pattern between those 3 movies when they have to "restart" a story but not actually shows the beginning of it. They claim that this is still a new, young, inexperienced Batman however the movie never address that since he is already famous enough to scare the whole town about his presence and is well known by the police to the point he has free pass to crime investigation scenes.
The new Superman is a similar story. I see people claiming is still a new Superman but he is already there for 3 years to the point the main villain studied his fighting style to counter him.
And I bet the new Fantastic Four will be similar since it is a new universe.
So what's going on exactly? They are just straight up paying for influencers to lie and pretend they like the new movies? Or people are just hipocrite and incoherent?
