Have you guys remember the time when crocodile said during the marineford arc he said to the whole navy that he wont let them taste victory you and their crooked operations.

if the gorosei hates something its someone that knew about the void century. And preety much the ones who disagreed to become a celestial dragon.

so this is what i think. All the baroque works was been supplied by the gorosei. They ask Crocodile by themselves to destroy or take down the alabasta. Because they cant afford someone to know about their connection to the void century.

crocodile change when he met luffy one by one crocodile understnds that luffy is not just a normal kid, he starts to understands that luffy was fated to destroy the gorosei and their plans and that his the only one who can succeed to this.

Im not saying that he was working with them, i just think pirates dont listen to someone unless its a both win win situation. So i think crocodile agreed to it because he will get the whole kingdom for himself.

actually i think thats what happened just like the admirals, sengoku, and garp crocodile saw luffy’s destinry or predicted the future of luffy
