It is amazing to see people who only started watching/reading One Piece within the last year become TOP TIER Worstgen OG (original gangster) posters and lead opinions on all new content.
I particularly like this because people who started reading One Piece just recently have way better opinions on characters like Shanks, and Mihawk, and Luffy, and the other Straw Hats, and Imu, and Katakuri, and Doflamingo, and Big Mom, and Kaido, and also Blackbeard.
The new One Piece fans who started reading recently more thoroughly understand the story than even people who have been reading the story for more than 10 years.
I am thankful that so many new readers, who only started reading this year, are having so many opinions on so many things. I am very, very thankful.
Even though sometimes people who just started the story have extremely harsh criticisms of the story, I understand that this is because they may understand how stories work best. They have possibly seen many newer anime and manga that are very popular and which One Piece should try to be like instead of its old bad typical story. It needs to be updated to a modern standard that new fans will like. The old One Piece is bad, but with the help of the new One Piece fans who started reading recently it is possible that One Piece can be great again.

Note: This post is in honor of the people who started reading One Piece during/after the Dressrosa arc when One Piece was at its PEAK. The entire story prior to Dressrosa is just bad anyway. I don't know why anybody bothered to watch or read anything before it except the Marineford Paramount War because basically that's the only good part except maybe Crocodile and Enel. Everything else can be skipped.
There... this is just badly written enough to not get removed... it will get removed as soon as I start to say anything about the opinion of people being bad... so I have to avoid that...
It is my hope that people who have only started reading--even just last week--impact the understanding and perceptions about the story that every other reader has in a way that allows other readers to be more like them. More like the new One Piece fans. Old readers don't even understand memes- how could they even enjoy One Piece? They should be more like new One Piece fans who understand memes.
I also REALLY like when new One Piece readers who started reading during/after Dressrosa discuss how awful the pre-timeskip arcs are. They provide new insight on things like... I didn't realize the old arcs were all soooo bad until they told me.
