Did Zoro use any form of Haki against Mr 1 in alabsta?

If not when do you think was the first usage of any kind of Haki in the series?

Was it in skypiea? Or was it before? And who was the first straw hat to unlock any form of haki?

Ofc zoro used CoA at alabasta as he cut breath of steel and also he used observation in the same fight against Mr 1. And he was the first straw hat too unlock haki, thanks for reading

I am not talking just about this specifically, I am also talking about the rocks falling scene and him sensing the presence of things and knowing where things are going to fall and dodging them based on sensing them. ( observation haki?).

Who knows at this point. The obvious and current answer is yes. But then, did he cut steel, or use Haki to bypass Mr. 1's devil fruit, and cut his real body? It seems like Oda just retconned what Zoro did on Alabasta to be Haki, so he didn't have to come up with another explanation for it, but it leaves that blaring plot hole as a result.

It was addressed in this arc actually. Weak answer but still an answer.

Even now I don't think Oda is more than 95% sure on Haki himself. At the time who the hell would know? But what Zoro did is explicitly tied to the working idea of Haki. Even before this arc it was a better example of Haki than the conqueror glare from the first chapter

CoO’s first usage was probably (not %100 sure) done by Sanji in Little Garden (sensing Nami’s fear from far away). As much as I hate to admit it, Sanji’s pervert senses are strongly hinted (in current timeline too) to be CoO.
CoA was probably used by Zoro in Alabasta against Mr. 1.
CoC was obviously used by Shanks at the beginning of series.

After all, Hyogoro's Ryou explanation is the very same explanation for the BoaT.

Yes, definely. Thats undoubtly when he awakened haki.

Some people in skypea where also using haki, a kind of observation haki. Like the fat priest, he definely had some weak form of future sight.

I'm fairly confident that Oda knew the terminology of haki since a long long time since BOAT was also a thing (which was much more specific too).
