So, with the reveal that Giants and Fairies... got it on, and reproduced, many people have zeroed in on Usopp's Mom, Banchina, being a Zushindodo: a Giant/Tontatta Hybrid species

This makes Usopp's efforts and exploits regarding both Tribes even more meaningful, IMO.

But, it also gives us a glimpse into Usopp's new power ups:

Bonney showed in Egghead that she was able to Distort others Futures, as well as her own.

Specifically, Bonney turns herself into a Buccaneer, like Kuma.

IMO, Sommers is the one who kidnapped Ginny. I believe Sommers lost his father in God Valley, hence his love for destroying families.

Sommers also has a lot of medals: I'd imagine kidnapping a high ranking Revolutionary would get him good street cred.

Bonney's family was destroyed in a sick, twisted fashion: for all his evil, Saturn wasn't a mindless murderer. Saturn openly lamented Ohara's and Vegapunk's actions, and tried to save Ohara, until the truth depth of their research was revealed.

Saturn torturing Ginny never really made sense to me. Bonney got her Devil Fruit powers from Saturn, sure, but, as far as we know, this wasn't a dangerous procedure.

Sommers? Sommers is a jackass, Sommers would TOTALLY kidnap Ginny because she was a survivor from God Valley, the place his father died. Loki's got a huge Rocks focus, I can totally see Rocks being the one who killed Sommers' parents.

Rocks would totally kill a woman if they were a Celestial Dragon, Rocks is crazy. Rocks saw some random Giant running through Marijoa after he MURDERED AN ADMIRAL, and was like "ayoooooooooooooooooo wanna clash???"

Usopp and Nami are both going to be furious with Sommers once it's revealed he was Ginny's rapist/torturer, since like Bonney, their mothers both died in tragic fashion at a young age.

Since Bonney turned into a Buccaneer... why not a Giant?

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

USOPP HAS TONTATTA AND GIANT BLOOD... and Bonney can distort his future.

Usopp will gain multiple forms:

Giant Usopp: Pure power, but large target.
Buccaneer Usopp: Less power, but easier to move around in/smaller target.
Tontatta Usopp: Super Mobile, Hard to See, Tiny Sniper God
Dosundada Usopp: Uhhhhhh... he's... smaller... I guess? I'll leave this one up to Oda LOL I got nothing

Obviously, since we're in Elbaph, we're gonna see Giant Usopp

And I just want to say, this is the coolest power up I think Oda's done.

Bonney being the key to Usopp becoming a Giant is SUCH GOOD WRITING, I LOVE IT.

Usopp will LITERALLY be a Brave Giant Warrior

Ain't no way Loki is making it through a full round of combat with Imu, Sommers, and Killingham and his Monsters when Luffy knocked Loki out with a Haki-less love tap.

Loki will Aura Farm, sure, but, he's going to go down, probably to Imu to further the Rocks connections.

So, Usopp and Bonney vs Sommers, and Loki + Luffy vs Imu.

Usopp and Bonney will take down Sommers (with some Kuma help IMO)

But, Loki will go down against Imu...

And then...

USOPP PICKS UP RAGNIR

HERO OF ELBAPH

GOD OF SNIPERS

BRAVE GIANT WARRIOR OF THE SEAS

LOKI'S RIVAL IN LIES AND STRENGTH

GOA D. USOPP

GOD BLESS SANJI FANS WHEN USOPP AND NAMI GET ADV COC BEFORE HIM
Nami will get CoC here, too, and fight Sommers, he's the exact kind of scumbag Nami detests.

And, since it's been a long time... I think he's coming back

Lussop will die like like a small fry which would free some panels to develop relevent mugiwaras in the upcoming arcs. Lussop is so useless since Poost TS, everybody will forget him the same way they forget about that useless ninja from wano

I'm most hype for Tontatta Usopp. It just fits his character.

This also lets Usopp continue to be the weakest crew member, as Oda said he would be, since Bonney would be the reason Usopp is gaining his power up, not Usopp himself. The haters will be wilding as always.

The only thing I hate about this thread is TAC is going to crash out if Nami, Usopp, and Bonney beat fucking Sommers.

We also need a full flashback chapter of Banchina's Fairy Mother/Father and Giant Mother/Father doing the deed, I need to know how that shit works. I'd imagine it would be a Big Mom situation, with a Giant Women and Fairy Dude, but, it's Oda, who freaking knows.

No matter how big the dick is, sperm is freaking tiny, ayooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

1000% think Usopp is also Noland's descendant.

Ooooooooooooooooh. What if Noland made love with a Fairy?

Ayo too detailed.

No but seriously,

Anything is possible now that we are in the final saga. The big reveals are on their way. Usopps and Namis origins will be awesome, as well as the other straw hats that we haven't learnt much about yet.

You know, I personally fully understand peoples' disappointment with Usopp; but then there is this other aspect. Oda, who has created so many characters, still finds moments to let them shine. So what if Usopps fights against Perona and Sugar were a long time ago? He was the reason they got through these characters with their haxx abilities.

People want Elbaf to be Usopps Arc (me included), no question, but I am still aware that it might not happen in the direction we imagined it.

Which isn't a bad thing per se. Look at how many things we have associated with Usopp so far into the story.

•The Giant Race

•The tontatta

•connection to Skypea

•His legendary lies that become reality

•As far as we know, the first person to see and hear the incarnation of a ship (merry)

•The statues he got in different Arcs to honor him.

•His special observation Haki. (Even crazier during Film Red, communicating through dimensional barriers). Which could still be relevant when we face more devil fruit users who can create an alternate dimension: Blackbeard, caribou, Brulee mirror world, possibly Imu as well, etc.

•Soge King / Sniper Island

•His liking of inventing things

•Sharp shooting skills

•Your mention of this new race we learnt about recently.

•His Hammer skills / connection to Norse mythology.

•In another thread, @Kizaruber Eats reminded me that, according to Oda, Usopp would be from Africa if he was born in the real world. I am sure if we dive more into African deities / folklore, there will be some connections to Usopp as well, etc.

•All the cover and color spreads with Usopp that could allude to some things in the future.

There is so much around Usopps character alone that even if one thing doesn't get further explained or realized within the main story, there is always another thing waiting in line.

And that's just one of the straw hats. No wonder Oda chose to reveal Zoros family in an SBS. I was never really mad about it. He created a world with too many characters, and wants to end his story soon? Yeah, that's not going to happen like that.

Joyboy is a west African myth IRL just saying hehehe. Somalia is west Africa I think and that's where oda said thiccbeard would be from, Xebec is Usopp grandad and blackbeard his real father? ZEHAHAHA

Joyboy" in the context of Caribbean folklore refers to a figure associated with celebration, music, and dance, often linked to West African origins and the experience of slavery in the Caribbean. In the manga "One Piece," Joy Boy is a legendary figure from the "Ancient Kingdom," who embodies freedom and liberation, potentially drawing inspiration from this Caribbean folklore.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Caribbean Folklore:

Joyboy as a figure:
In Caribbean folklore, Joyboy is a figure who embodies the human spirit's need to celebrate, dance, and sing.

(Nvm Somalia is Look D.East Africa. Is that why Dragon keeps staring east?)

Oda is less about winning fights and more about doing what's good.

Usopp doesn't get a ton of fights, but when he shows up, it counts.

Good point about the Klabauterman, hadn't realized Usopp is the only known person to see it, more CoC

Forgot about the Film Red CoC, too, wouldn't be surprised if that shows up later.

I think some One Piece films are "in another worldline canon" kind of deal.

Usopp's just cool, I hope Oda pops off with his backstory/lineage. I'm fine with him having famous ancestors, anyone who thinks Usopp is a nepo-baby hasn't read the Manga properly, dude grew up with less than no training/power.

Oh, we'll get more of Zoro's family: the Pirate Crew that Arashi died to was the Beast Pirates, IMo: Kaido killed Zoro's dad, when Zoro went to Wano to defeat Kaido.

Really hope Sniper Island is a real place in Elbaph or Laugh Tale.

I 100% believe Joy Boy was real.

But, honestly, I pretty much believe One Piece is real, just very exaggerated history from our world or another world. LOL.

The true history is out there, we've got to find it. Folklore a lot of the time has something behind it.

Usopp and Blackbeard having a common ancestor really interests me.

Bonus points if Teach is also somehow a Zushindodo, LOL, he's got the nose (though Teach's nose just... contorts to however Oda feels like drawing it LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL)

That's crazy. Oda really said Blackbeard would be from Somalia and Usopp from South Africa, nonetheless, both from the same continent. You can't make this up. Especially because the real life Blackbeard was an English Pirate, so Oda deliberately changed that for his own story for a reason. He wants to tell us something there.

Also, the Caribbean folklore you mentioned fits perfectly into the recent Davy Jones stuff that came up again.

People made jokes when SunGod Nika was first revealed about Usopp being the real god. GOD Usopp was never meant as a joke. When Hajrudin held him up in the sky during dressrosa and the sunlight was shining upon him, that was such a majestic moment. Also, the iconic scene in Skypea when he was literally playing on the drums.

Buggy had a similar scene.

:finally:

This reminds me that when Sogeking saved Nico Robin, the sun was also shining upon him. Still one of my personal best moments in the entire series. Hes is literally a 'liberator'

Maybe Sogeking was also a real Sun God at some point.

:steef:

Yep, agreed. Well, I enjoy cool fights as much as others in the fandom, but they are just like a bonus to me. I am more interested in the secrets and mysteries Oda likes to leave us with.

The Klabauterman / Merr'y Spirit is a good example. It was never really brought up again, not even by other Sailors / or Pirate Crews, which is still weird to me. I mean, I can imagine that maybe the Roger Pirates had similar experiences with their ship as well, but nope. So much extra info and flashbacks later. We never heard of it once appearing before them or anything like that.

The only real time was with Usopp. The interesting part is that it appeared during Skypea when the going Merry was stuck at that Altar, which is the same place where the woman was meant to be sacrificed for their "gods" during Noland's flashback.

I don't know if that is supposed to be a hint. It could be a coincidence. There was also a little weather phenomenon that was left unexplained during the whole scene. It was a foggy mist that seemingly came out of nowhere. The first thing that came to my mind were the Florian Triangle Monsters, which were also cloaked by a veil of fog.

Oda could connect so many things with this through so many different arcs, it's mind-boggeling. I am not saying those things in the triangle are also klabauterman, but maybe they have a linked origin. Spirits of mistreated ships? So the exact opposite. I mean the thriller Barc was the epitome of a 'misthreated' Ship. All the fighting that was going on with Oars, and even Kumas Ursus Shock at the End.

:kawak::jay-he:

But, that's just one of many speculations. It could be way off. There are already other cool theories about them, so I will leave them separated for now.

Right after this scene Usopp passed out when the Klabauterman smiled at him. Something otherwordly must have happened here. Maybe his true haki awakening? When he woke up the Ship was fixed again. So, this Spirit can take a physical Form and really interact in the world. This is crazy.

Later on Franky told Usopp that he heard about its tale, but specifically states that it was the first time that he ever heard from someone directly. The other straw hats never saw it only heard merrys Voice later.

I am sure this will come back at some point. Now that merrys spirit lives on in the thousand sunny.

Well regarding Film Red, I mean if Shanks special haki technique the observation killing can be made canon, why not other peoples abilities from the Movie. Usopp and Yasopp had such an awesome teamwork during the final fight. Usopp being able to link his observation haki to Yasopps Eyes, when the straw hats and the red hair pirates were seperated into real world and the other dimension of tot musica, ultimately leading them to win the battle thanks to him.

Thats why I believe something similar like that might happen in the Manga again, when we face off enemies who also can create an alternate dimension/ like brulees mirror world etc. Usopp will be the saviour once again. Dealing with tricky Powers was always his speciality.

:Egg_cited:

I'am sure Sniper Island is real. If Oda doesn't bring it up again for the main story line, he could still make a cool "untold story" series after the manga has ended.

I can imagine Ussop being back in Syrup village telling everyone about his adventures, receiving an anonymous invitation to Sniper Island with an eternal port to its location. All the best snipers in the world are heading there to compete.

I hope Usopp doesn’t battle Gunko, but she seems like one of those characters, like Perona and Sugar lol.
Imu: "Don't tell me... Gunko's Arrows can't redirect his attacks... because his attacks themselves are lying?!?!"

You mean we're... Pirates... of the Caribbean??? No... it can't be...

I wonder if Blackbeard's ancestors lived in a culture more like Britain?

Usopp sniping from the Tower of Justice is such peak scene, everything about it.

The anime did it COMPLETE JUSTICE, TOO. Serious Usopp is actually one of the scariest characters in the manga, he accomplishes all kinds of shit he really shouldn't be able to.

God of Sniping: Sogeking. How many Gods were there?

Sogeking was a real member of Joy Boy's crew, I'm calling it. Usopp's CoO allowed him to connect past the worldline in Film Red; is Sogeking Usopp's CoO allowing him to channel the spirit of his ancestor, Sogeking?

Since Kidd, Killer, Heat, and Wire's ship, the Victoria Punk, was named after Victoria, their deceased childhood crush they fought over as kids, I believe we'll see the Klabautermann again with Kidd (and Law as well).

Ain't no way Kidd and Law don't show up on Elbaph after all this time. Hell, I think Kidd's still there.

We've got a shit ton of Adam Wood for Kidd and Law to use with their Klabautermann's to rebuild their ships. Bonus points if the Klabautermanns are Victoria and Corazon themed.

I think the monsters in the Florian Triangle are Ancient Giants/Super Giants that hide in the fog to avoid the WG.

If the sea-level sinks at the end of One Piece, the islands will change geography.

It's possible Syrup Village IS Sniper Island. Syrup Village's island is literally build like a fortress, it's perfect to defend via Sniping.

Don't be ridiculous, don't mention Saint Sommers and Usopp in the same sentence ever again :whitepress:

God Usopp can defeat Demon Dorry and Brogy :BigW:
Sommers is so obviously a Sanji fight I just don't see Sanji beating him. If that makes any sense.

I think Sommers is strong, tho, Sanji might also be needed.

I could see Zoro leading one group of Straw Hats against Killingham, and Sanji leading another against Sommers, while Loki and Luffy take on Imu, after Dorry and Brogy are taken care of.

Luffy might legit just "punch" Dorry and Brogy back to normal.

Zoro and Sanji went first, though, so I think they'll clash with Dorry and Brogy.

I can't survive a second Sanji vs King :crazwhat:

I'm pretty sure Zoro and Sanji are going to stop Demon Dorry and Brogy only momentarily. Sanji is getting domi reversed the moment he steps between them. That means Evil Sanji vs Zoro and the two demon giant captains free to kill Jarul and destroy everything in their path.

Someone has to stop those demons, and that someone is Usopp :steef:

After Sanji unlocks CoC and comes back to himself, Sanji and Zoro will defeat the two HKs

Oh god

I really hope it's not evil Sanji, Oda would make him such a horny douche LOL

@Doggo How we feeling about Domi Reverse Sanji being Black Hair Sanji's introduction?

It would actually be kinda funny to watch evil Sanji beat up Zoro, honestly.

Oh, no... if Domi Reversi Sanji loses to Zoro...

Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, if Oda uses Domi Reversi Sanji as another Zoro Haki training tool I'm going to crash out

Sanji gets CoC from Imu

I'm really hoping Robin getting messed up by Sommers is enough for Sanji to be mad enough to avoid Domi Reversi.

Zoro and Sanji using CoC (intentionally) the first time together would be really interesting. Zoro's proof you can unlock CoC without having a "I shouted so hard everyone else fell over" moment. I also think knowing Zoro has CoC when Sanji doesn't is really going to encourage Sanji to get it.

Hm, Sogeking part of Joyboys crew? Yeah, why not actually that would be cool.

I am all here for a glorious Kidd comeback. His fans deserve a good moment. Law shouldn't be too far away either.

You are right about the sea levels. There must be an unbelievable number of old ruins and cities underwater by now. It would be crazy to see the original 'world' how everything used to look by the end of one piece. Hopefully Zunesha didn't destroy everything by that time. Because it's wandering around aimlessly, someone needs to free that poor animal. Break its curse, or command.

I swear, if Sniper Island was Syrup Village all along.

:denzimote:

We know that Sniper Island is in our hearts. And Usopps' Heart is definitely with his village, the people, and Kaya, of course. That would be a funny way for Oda to twist this.

Usopp could use the arrow-arrow fruit to help as a sniper, but here we are with Gunko.

Usopp hasn’t defeated anyone in a while, but Sommers might not be his main problem.
If Gunko is Brook's former companion, and Gunko betrays Imu to help the Straw Hats, Gunko could die and have her Fruit respawn.

Usopp's Kabuto eating Gunko's Arrow Fruit would make him very dangerous is he learns to coat bullets in CoA, too.

Gunko's Fruit is fast enough to blow my a Shichibukai in Jinbe who beat a former CP0 Agent who was very fast, and Brook, who is one of the fastest characters in the series, to the point he can keep up with Big Mom in armed combat speed-wise.

Gunko's Fruit would totally open things up for Usopp... but that means Brook will have to see someone he love die again, which would be heartbreaking. Look at what Saturn got when he fucked up. If Gunko helps the Straw Hats, she's toast. Would be crazy to have her go out this fast, but, well, look at old bones Saint Saturn.

Kidd and Law are def coming back with CoC.

I can't wait to examine the underwater segments of One Piece more.

Fun fact: IRL, there's tons of ancient ruins buried under mud floods that ended civilizations. If a flood gets far enough mainland and combines with other bad climate conditions, you can get legitimate mud floods that will burry entire cities alive. This is why there are so many underground cities through human history.

The reason we never saw Pyramids and Tombs in Alabasta is because they were buried under a mud flood from Imu's Flood. Those tombs are there: under the sand. Pyramids, too.

Syrup Village being Sniper Island would make me smile so wide. I love Usopp. Glad he was having fun in Elbaph. Before the pantsless lady showed up.

I bet Joy Boy told Zunesha to not destroy anything without permission. I hope.

LOL Sniper Island is in our hearts... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I love Kaya so much, great character

That's so fascinating. I hear on the news from time to time that they have discovered a lost civilization or the remains of it in our world. Human history is truly one of a kind. I often wonder how much knowledge got lost during the centuries passed, how people used to live in ancient times, what their languages sounded like, etc.

The Ocean is probably the most fascinating place to find stuff from the past, but also the most scary place. I heard a number of about 95% that we haven't even explored yet. That's wild.
