General & Others Do Yonko make a mistake by not letting their commanders fight at the open sea?

I always get this vibe that Big Mom and Kaido rarely or most likely never allow their commanders to try themselves on the seas.

I think like none of Big Mom commanders sailed further than to borders of Toto Land to protect them from eventual attacks.
This pirate era feels cheap and only fun and games to be honest.

Rocks and then Roger's era felt more violent and dangerous tbh.

I also think that Jack's quest to get Raizo might've been on of the first times he was appointed to the outside mission and then his attempt at getting Doffy back was pure panic move because he didn't want to return to Wano with empty hands.

I know it's not a smart move to send your strongest fighters to the open sea in the New World and you should try to stick to what you have and protect it but put that aside for a second and let's think.

Are they making a mistake for not allowing them to prove themselves in the open world?
Forget about the circumstances of letting them fight and leaving your country that they should protect.

I think it's a bad thing, to be honest. I think no matter which crew it would be the ability to prove yourself in the New World against the strongest pirates would only boost your strength and experience.

Maybe if Katakuri, Smoothie, and Cracker fought in the New World they wouldn't lose and get clowned by a bunch of kids with a talking skeleton, bunny, reindeer, and kitty.

Forget that Luffy was protected with MC's most powerful shield:madmonk:

Yeah, seems like the Yonko could expand their territory and influence if they let their main commanders go out and kick some ass in their name. Shanks doesn’t seem to ever be far from his guys either, although Blackbeard having a fleet implies his Ten Titanic Captains have a level of autonomy that other YCs don’t.

Yeah, I think like Shanks's, Blackbeard's, and Whitebeard's crew before they are the only two out of the Yonko group that fight on the seas while Kaido enjoys drinking alone and Big Mom sitting in her throne room eating snacks and they are not allowing their strongest fighters to fight in the New World. I think Jack's example was a super rare thing.

I think like both Kaido and LinLin commanders became only this strong because they were training/fighting only with each other in their homelands.

Does we really get confirmation that Yonko Commander is not allowed to fight at open sea?

Imho, it is not because they aren't allowed, but a lot of time, just by sending non-commander is enough to get the desirable result.
If I'm not mistaken, Amande massacre several knights to force obtain egg for wedding cake.
Even our mighty Bobbin-sama could destroy and burning down ENTIRE COUNTRY.
Why send your top commander to do an 'ordinary' task?

For more difficult task, they do send their top commander to executed the task, such as when Kaido sent Jack to retrieve Doffy.

Keep in mind that New World mostly controlled by The Yonko, so it is not an easy task to expand territory in nearly saturated sea.

Well they sure did in the past (or guys like the YCs won't be famous/have huge bounties) but now they are at a crucial stage where one mistake can lose them their territory so unless it's something really important or hard to deal with it's better if commanders stay and watch over the territory and let the "fodders" / vet handle some situations (so they can also improve) or if they get captured or killed its not too bad for the crew loosing a commander for a Yonko at that stage can determine their position as a Yonko

Your Mom and Leader ( Big Mom and Kaido in that instance ) Fought on God's Valley and acquired territories big enough to consider themselves as Emperors.

Most of the bounties we saw from Yonko's crew come from their names under which they fight/listen to the orders.

Cuz the Yonko want the commanders to stay back and defend their territories lol:kayneshrug:

They do let them... it's just not needed most of the time. I mean how many people outside of crew mates of other Emperors could deal with a squad made up of say a Tobi Roppo member, a few Gifters, and other fodder? The average pirate Captain in the New World is probably weaker than even the Weak Trio. No need to send a Commander...
