Nah, Oda will either kill off VP or send him somewhere else so as to not spoil the crew. I hope VP doesn't die, I've been waiting so long and he's lived up to the hype (at least for me). Robin hasn't been the only person who can read the Poneglyphs for a while; Pudding will eventually do it and Sukiyaki can read them/will eventually teach it to Momo and Hiyori.
