Speculations Do you think that Oda will deliver with Cross Guild?

Well yeah that’s the Joke. The Joke is that Buggy incompetently rises up the ranks of the pirates world

if somehow buggy gets to Laugh tale outside of gag coincidence it undermines the joke and it undermines the rest of the story that buggy decided to go to laugh tale like 3 weeks ago in one piece time and managed to do it no problem

When Buggy became a Warlord, it was obviously a gag, but the circumstances leading up to him becoming a Warlord were pretty believable

When he became a Yonko, it was a bit less believable (having just Mihawk and Croc really isn’t enough to justify it even if you highball those two, Oda really should’ve had Moria and Weevil also join from the start), but was excusable.

My worry is that Oda is just come pull out some absolute nonsense with no logic behind it whatsoever to justify CG staying competitive with the other Yonko crews, despite them having no RPs and much less firepower. If CG can somehow get to Laugh Tale without any RPs, they kinda undermines the entire story

It’s pretty obvious that Oda’s just gonna come up with some lame ass gag excuse for why CG will be able stay in the running for the One Piece, despite them having no Poneglyphs and a weak ass crew

I just assume they'll be dormant for the entire series now, I don't really think they'll go to laughtale or get new recruits tbh.

Were they? The impel down prisoners saw buggy running alongside Luffy and Jimbei and assumed he’s on their fighting capacity and authority

it’s gag logic. Same with buggy being called the leader of cross guild, the in world explanation for it is that Buggy’s Crew made Buggy’s face more prominent on their Cross guild poster when designing it and somehow everyone including the marines just assumed “bigger face = Boss”

It’s “believable” in the way cartoon logic is believable. You can trace some kind of logic but you have to assume the entire world is extremely stupid in very specific ways for the outcome to happen

I believe the next arc is where Oda will use the CG, since he was hyping it and the path to becoming PK

Though if the CG is non-existent in the next arc, the chance of them making to Laugh Tale is very high, we are almost there already

I have about as much faith in Cross Guild as I do in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet being relevant to the story beyond cameos and the inevitable 'final war' shots of them fighting Blackbeard or Imu's forces. Hajrudin is the sole exception because he was always going to be heavily tied to Elbaf.
