I mean for the people that are aware of this reality, not children or others to stupid or lacking of knowledge to get it.
Like think about it, you watch a show, even though you know everything gets made to appeal to market demographics, everything is made for raiting, there are no deeper meanings cause the real porpuse of it is to make money and everything good gets sacrificed for mysterybait or can just disapear in a flash if it gets canceled if it is not profitable anymore.
Maybe its best seen with weirdo adult fans of cartoon properties who cry when a show ended cause it didnt sell enough action figures and they didnt buy enough themselves or when a plotline gets canceled because of business reasons or because its "too dark".
But even other shows, you often hear things like "well it had to happen to get this demographic" or "I know half of the episode is filler but we have to stretch the season till the reveal somehow" or even chanels that theorise about all the mystery bait theories, even though they know its all just useless smoke and mirrors nonsense to get more views on the next episode.
Like I dunno, even One Piece, with Oda jusr saying that Chopper was reduced to a mascot charachter, it feels kinda weird when people say "yeah its ok, a series needs one" like dunno🤷🏿♂️
