Questions & Mysteries Does the war against the WG happen BEFORE or concurrently with Blackbeard?

Yup, people thinking Teach can't beat Imu without Luffy fighting him, which is true. Luffy must fight Imu for sure.

For example, both Luffy and Teach confronted with Magellan and Sengoku. 2 bosses of Impel Down and Marineford. Luffy soften them up, Teach put Magellan to coma later and Sengoku was covered in bandages at the end. We will probably see a similar scenario with Imu and Elders, everyone can fight, at the end 2 can stay at the top.

I admit that it would also be nice, albeit almost impossible, to get some sort of pirate alliance between the opposites, Luffy and BB, in order to take out the greatest evil, Im. Something like Naruto and Sauce vs Kaguya but with the sentiment of Goku and Frieza vs Jiren at the tournament of power. The inheritor of the light (Roger will, Sun god) and the one of darkness (Xebec will, Moon god). Maybe the very introduction of Im slicing their bounties is a forshadow for this.

And of course BB in the end back stabs the alliance for benefits and becomes the final villain.

Most likely concurrently, but BB will use the confusion and chaos to reach Laugh Tale first when the rest of the world are busy with the govt with only Shanks actively hunting him.
The thing that I dont know is if the Marines or at least a huge chunk of them will defect from the WG after the reveal hits and how will that affect the final war

After, Blackbeard should be a hypetool for Imu, the real final villain of the story.
