Both arcs center around the SHs escaping a massive enemy fleet. For WCI, it was the big mom pirates. For Egghead, it is the World Government fleet.
I believe that the format of this arc will be very similar to WCI, with Kizaru playing the role of Katakuri, and Saturn playing the role of BM. Due to Kizaru's light speed, he is the biggest threat in the enemy fleet. The SHs and vegapunk won't be able to outrun Kizaru due to light speed, so Luffy needs to stop him in order for the rest to escape.
Whereas Katakuri had a special paramecia, Kizaru will have a full blown logia DF. Similar to how Luffy needed FS to beat Kata, he will likely need the next level of CoO beyond FS in order to bypass Kizaru's light speed.
Saturn, on the other hand, is a giant monster
He will likely play the role of a big invincible antagonist, similar to Big Mom in WCI. While Luffy will be fighting Kizaru to prevent him from stopping the SHs, Saturn and the fleet will be actively pursuing the SHs and vegapunk.
I think the parallel to the Wedding Cake will be Vegapunk's Punk Records. This is a highly valuable database of information that Saturn is no doubt eager to destroy. However unlike the Cake, the SHs will need to protect this at all costs, as this holds all the knowledge of Vegapunk and Ohara.
I think the parallel to Pedro will probably be Stella. I think he will sacrifice himself so that the SHs can escape with Punk Records.
