Versus Battle Elite jounin exams on

The elite Jounin level exams are organised in Konoha by the 5 great villages.

Sasuke takes in Karin and Suigetsu and decides to take part in the exams.

The structure of the exams will be similar to the preskip Chunin exams.

Test 1: Jounin level intelligence test
The participants are given the same conditions they were given during Ibiki's test in part 1,only that this time they are not allowed to leave a blank answer sheet of paper like naruto did in part 1.


Test 2: Each team is given a scroll and must undergo Survival in Forest of death and scroll capture from enemy team.They are allowed 3 days to make it to the tower in the middle of the forest,if not they are disqualified.
Any means are allowed to get the opposite scroll including killing. Only the teams who survive with all their members will participate in test 3


Test 3: Location: Preskip Chunin exams finals arena
Only 34 ninjas at most will be allowed from the previous test.
1vs 1 battles allowing to qualify for the final test.

Suigetsu vs Kiba.
Sakura vs Temari
Shikamaru vs Karin
Shino vs Kankuro
Sai vs Neji
Lee vs Darui
Cee vs Hinata.
Zabuza vs Naruto
Gaara vs Choji
Iwa ninja vs Karui
Omoi vs Kitsuchi
Ino vs Samui
Mifune vs Tenten
Kabuto vs Ao
Kimmimaro forfeits due to illness
Chojuro vs Juugo


Test 4: location: Valley of the end near Madara and Hashirama statues.
Final exams in 1vs 1 tournament with only 1 winning the tournament.
The winner of each fight in test 3 fights the one directly above him in the list until only 1 person wins the tournament .
Possibility of being promoted elite Jounin despite losing your fight.


Major participants: Konoha 11 with Sai,Omoi's team,Darui,Cee and mifune as a team,Sasuke,Karin and Suigetsu as a team,Chojuro,Ao and Zabuza as a team,Bos Gaara with Kankuro and Temari as a team,Kurotsuchi,kitsuchi and the Iwa Jounin kid kakashi and Obit killed in Gaiden take part as a team.Kabuto,Kimmimaro and Juugo as a team.


Minor participants: Jounin and high Chunin level ninjas from all the villages including Ame and Oto.

Test 1 invigilators: Shikaku,Inoichi and their goons.

Test 3 invigilator: Gai maito.

Test 4 invigilator: Kakashi hatake.
No killing in Test 3 and 4.

All the kages of the participating villages are invited for test 4(let's assume Rasa is still Kazekage in Suna).

All characters are in their Beginning of shippuden versions for the known characters at that point,1St appearance for others and last appearance for those who didn't appear alive in part 2 like Kimmimaro.

Mindset: In character for all characters at those particular points in time.

Restrictions: Naruto can only go to Kn1 when kyuubi interferes.

Who are the ones who impress the kages in the finals to be promoted to elite Jounin?

No one would be able to stand up to Sasuke, except Gaara and Darui maybe. Sasuke, trained by Orochimaru, probably has loads of theoretical knowledge too. He aces the first test, he slaughters 95% of the participants without breaking sweat in the second test and he easily wins in duels too.
I would go as far as to say that he would be able to 1v11 against Konoha 11, including Sai too. Bring up post-Kakuzu Naruto or SM training Naruto (training not completed, SM Naruto would be a murderstomp), who is smarter than beginning of series version of himself, and we will have a talk.

My answer for given duels:

Sasuke vs Kurotsuchi: Sasuke one shots.
Suigetsu vs Kiba: Suigetsu neg diff.
Sakura vs Temari: One of the harder-to-decide duels here. Temari is a Kage advisor, Part-2 Sakura is a mini Tsunade. Temari takes this one, but it is no less than high diff.
Shikamaru vs Karin: Unless Karin is in "Sasuke is in danger!" mode, Shikamaru takes her down. Karin is smart and has a very tricky ability, but Shikamaru is smart enough to figure out her ability and counter it properly.
Shino vs Kankuro: Hardest one to decide here. They know each others' abilities from Part 1 and previously had beef with each other too. I am inclined to say Shino but it is borderline extreme diff.
Sai vs Neji: Neji takes Sai down with high end of high diff.
Lee vs Darui: Darui is too much for beginning of part 2 Lee. He is a Kage right-hand and a quite competent one too. Lee is not at the level to be able to deal with two legendary shinobis or be considered equal to war arc Kakashi at that time.
Cee vs Hinata: Bad matchup for Cee. Hinata is physical oriented fighter and I give this fight to her. (I feel she might not be able to take down a Kage left-hand though even though she has ability advantage on him.)
Zabuza vs Naruto: Naruto takes down Zabuza, he might need to go to V1 though.
Gaara vs Choji: Gaara neg diff.
Iwa ninja vs Karui: Karui
Omoi vs Kitsuchi: Not sure, probably Kitsuchi due to difference in experience. Might go either way though.
Ino vs Samui: We have no ideas on abilities of Samui, other than knowing her being very smart. Have to give this one to Ino, but Samui might also take it due to being a Jonin.
Mifune vs Tenten: Mifune. He was around the level of Hanzo, whose rusty version should still be at the same ballpark with Kages. Tenten has no chance.
Kabuto vs Ao: Kabuto, not an easy matchup though.
Chojuro vs Juugo: If we only consider V1 Juugo, Chojuro can definitely take him down. If V2 also comes into equation, I might give this one to Juugo though.
