Speculations Emeth was Defeated by a Fish-Men Royal 200 Years Ago, and Sent by a Rival Fish-Man who wished to be Joy Boy - Fighting Fish Connection

The St. Briss leaves from the Briss Kingdom carrying a crew towards the Grand Line. The crew makes it to Skypiea but then vanishes without a trace.[37]

The Arms Shop is built in Loguetown.[28] In the live-action series, this is stated to be in the year 1320.[38]

The World Government makes an alliance with Fish-Man Island after centuries of discrimination. The institution of slavery is prohibited by the World Government to secure a peace agreement. The Ryugu Kingdom attends its first Levely, not attending another until 200 years later.[39]

The Fighting Fish appear near Green Bit.[40]

Emet appears and attacks Mary Geoise, but runs out of energy before causing damage.[14] Jaygarcia Saturn of the Five Elders orders researchers to study it in secret.[41]

When I'm bored/depressed I regularly scour the One Piece World Timeline on the Wiki for info (we have dates, now, too, wheeeeeeeee).

A very interesting period is that of 200 years ago:
-The WG and Fish-Man Island make an alliance, and the WG "prohibits" slavery (ooooh Imu be lying)
-The Fighting Fish appear near Green Bit
-Emeth attacks the Holy Land

Hody/Neptune represent a long debate beween the Fish-Men/Merfolk, IMO: "Do we even WANNA be friends with the Humans?"

Clearly, the Royal Ryugu Family back then was of Otohime's Minset, as they attended a Reverie 200 years ago, yet did not attend for another 200 years (was a Princess kidnapped then, as well?).

Emeth wielded a weapon here (I think a Trident), that then ended up embed in him. Why?

We know from Neptune/Aladin that Polearms are a popular choice for Fish-Men/Merfolk. For this reason, I believe the person who injured Emeth, was a Fish-Man Island Royal, who was attending this Reverie.

If this Reverie is WHEN the Fish-Men became part of the WG, it would stand to reason this Royal taking down Emeth was a reason the Celestial Dragons were willing to approve of this measure.

Likewise, I believe Emeth was sent BY a Fish-Man, who, like Hody, hated the Royal Family, and despised the concept of joining the WG. Emeth has shown a remarkable capacity to fight underwater/navigate water, and must have swam to climb the Red Line in the first place. It's likely Emeth resided in FMI, to protect the Noah, which Joy Boy had promised to Poseidon.

However, I ALSO believe this "bad" Fish-Man ALSO was involved with the Fighting Fish arriving in Green Bit, and was a friend to the Tontatta, who ordered the Fighting Fish to help guard them.

Whoever ordered the Fighting Fish was most likely, like them, a violent, rowdy individual, but more good than evil, as we can see with the Fighting Fish protecting the island and Tontatta of Green Bit with such Zeal.

This leads me to believe that at some point, Shirahoshi-sama may visit Green Bit and meet the Fighting Fish (on her honeymoon with Loki, ayyyyyyyyyyyy)

It's also possible, due to their relatively close locations, that the Sun Pirates retreated with Jinbe to Dressrosa's Green Bit. Dressrosa's Royalty and the Tontatta would be welcoming of them, and the Fighting Fish would be respectful, as well.

For this reason, I could see the Fighting Fish being a legitimate force in the Final War, as the only thing they were really scared of in Dressrosa was fucking Doflamingo, they're very dangerous.
