You think Oda might pull a Nika?
I would find it pretty sick if it turned out that Kid's fruit was a metal logia the whole time...though that would make less sense I guess.
Another option is technokinesis, like the main villain from Sky High. Just straight up crafting technology as per his will. I could see Kid making an Iron Man suit or a Gundam.
Honestly, when i look at this panel i think its very likely. Im convinced kidd will fight luffy, ive written longer posts about why it would happen, but knowing how oda writes...this seems like a free giveaway.
Now you may be asking, what does this mean for Kidd's fruit?
If Kidd is to fight Luffy eventually, he will likely need an evolution/advancement with his fruit. And its likely he would face joyboy in that fight. There are a lot of theories as what that evolution could be...a metal suit that greatly increases his fighting abilities? Maybe a demon form lol? One thing thats always seemed a bit strange is the presence of skulls on his abilities, is their any connection that? Etc..
Another theory that someone had posted a while back was the connections between "Journey to the West" and Luffy/kidd.
When Oda was asked what flowers and animals represent the worst generation....
Luffy - sunflower, monkey
Kidd - tulip, fighting bull
In journey to the west, "Sun wukong's(luffy)" greatest enemy is the Bull demon King(kidd)..
Kidds move Punk Corna Dio literally translate to Magentic Demon Bull...
I would be surprised to see some fruit evolution closely related to that..
And even looking at their two fruits..Luffy's reflects things.....and Kidd attracts things..

EDIT: By the way if Kidd does not get any huge fruit evolution and still ends up fighting Luffy, can you imagine the upscale? Just a normal human with a devil fruit fighting vs Joyboy? Absolutely peak.
