So I’ve been thinking— Oda said that he planned for Wano to be an arc much bigger than Marineford. Though it could just be hype, I’m more inclined to believe that Wano will involve multiple other factions rather than a simple Straw Hats vs. Kaido (and possibly Big Mom) that I see many people making it out to be.
Considering that we only have time for a couple of major arcs left (from Oda + his editors’ comments on finishing in 5 years), I’m led to believe that the focus on Yonkou’s will probably be finished with soon, because there’s still so much left to explore.
Also, with Oda introducing so many factions that haven’t really had the limelight yet, I think that he’s going to have them make a least a minor appearance before the final war— to build them up. In the New World so far, I don’t think many major arcs have followed an “Ennies Lobby” type writing, where it’s very linear with one-on-ones and involving only two major factions.
But on the other hand even with just the Beast Pirates, Scabbards, and Straw Hats there’ll be limited panel time— and that’s not even factoring in the possibilty of Big Mom pirates involved too.
