The only good thing about this chapter, was Jellals/Siegrains flashback.
The only thing that I missed in the flashback was a scene were Jellel joins the wizard saints so that we could see all of them together...

But the fight......I have no words.......how can the fight ends like this.....I thought I read a fan made chapter.....

Jellal was never the guy to that things.....but the Acnologia reference was a nice add.

Still the fight could be so much better..... Jellal only used a new version of Grand Chariot.....why couldn't GS use his diamond ds magic to block this? Or his light ds magic to eat it? Or use his lightning ds magic like Laxus to move away from the spell? Hiro used the lazzy way to end this fight and that is really sad.

I don't get it why he brought GS back, if he end this like his. He could at least show us a chapter with a flashback of GS or one chapter more for this fight so that both of them can use more spells.....

Hyped to be the strongest in Ishgar before betraying them, 8 different dragon lacrima's hyped to be extremely powerful

Only to get one tapped by Acnologia before he could really do anything

And then lesser versions of himself get bodied other wizards like Gildarts and now apparently Jellal

Sadly.....and here I thought if Hiro brought him back he would have some ideas for the story but he only used him to hype Jellal.....tbh a new random character from the Gold Owl guild would be enought to hype Jellal, why used he GS instead? Man what a waste....

Imo how the fight should be....

First chapter: It was good how the start was.
Second chapter: this one, but it should be a only flashback chapter.
Third chapter: Jellal fights back and use new and old spells to show GS how powerful he is...
Fourth chapter: Flashback of GS
Fifth chapter: Both mages go allout and use their strongest spell in the end
Sixth chapter: GS is defeated.

But what we get was only......

Yeah I think that.
After this arc with Viernes, we will get Ignias arc, maybe an arc with the sun dragon god and then the final arc will come.

But I believe after the 100YQ we will get a next generation manga.

well he was called out for it so its also deserved. he did get what he deserved all the loses but hes been a disappointment not sure what was worse GS or Kashimo treatment...

Gildarts is a monster though and hes come in into ome clutch fights for the guild overall.

I just can't man.

Even when Grand Chariot fails, Mashima creates GC 2.0 instead of an actual new spell, or even some of the hyped older spells that we didn't get to see in action like Abyss Break or Self Destruction Circle.


And for some reason it one shotted Serena who was dominating so far. No explanation whatsoever.
Did adding 2 more constellations somehow changed the elements that GS couldn't nullify it anymore? Why didn't GS at least try using diamond to block the spell? Completely ridiculous.

I don't know....it makes no sense....like you said, he could use his diamond magic or use his darkness, light or lightning element to move away....Hiro is so lame......I hate it that he always ruined the enemies.....

Next one will be how Erza solos the sisters.....I can't.....

This chapter was god awful. Like holy fucking shit, is there nothing to Jellal's character other than "my past and my unforgivable sins" ?? I thought we got past this at the end of the original series and then during his conversation with Erza in the sequel.

Jellal is one of the worst written characters I have ever seen, no exaggeration.

Finally read 144 it was a good chapter, didn't expect Jellal to lose against a puppet but I also didn't expect the fight to be so one sided
