Questions & Mysteries Finally, how was Marco's presence essential to winning the war?

#1
I remember when Nekomamushi said on Zou: "Marco's presence will be of great help to us". But in the end, apart from retaining King and Queen what other characters could have done, what did he do during the war? He could have gone to support Law and Kid against Big Mom, it would have made her defeat more coherent, or he had gone to fight alongside his friend Izo against CP-0. In the end, Izo did a lot more than him during this war. Guy is a big disappointement, we have seen almost nothing of his capacities!

Finally, that he was not present in this war would have changed almost nothing.

For me it's a propose that Oda didn't know what dors with him like many characters.

He exhausted Queen but other than that no one was going to lose to Queen so he didn't actually do much other than give Chopper enough time to save the fodder.

He stalled BM and Perospero.Took Zoro to the rooftop.Stalled King and Queen.Helped save the samurai from Queen's plagues. The most important thing he did was make BMP ship fall from the waterfall. If the other BMP were present in Onigashima the alliance would suffer heavy casualties and might even lose.

I'm going for the opposite. What if Marco was absent??

- none stall BM pirates climb
- none stall Big mom & Peros
- none stall queen virus for Chopper time
- none can deal with wild peak Hyogoro
- none stall queen & king
- none fly Zoro up to the right direction, though he can do reverse tatsumaki to fly
- Nami Will die

His purpose was to open the way for the New Gen and he accomplished that.

He stopped the Big Mom Pirates from coming back and in doing so, reduced the enemies the Straw Hats had to deal with. He stalled Big Mom and Perospero in time for Carrot and Wanda to take over facing the latter and by the time Big Mom was done with Marco, she was moving onto grouping up with Kaido and the Rooftop 5 were also close to getting to swap with the Scabbards. He also used his flames to slow down the effects of the Ice Oni, helped Zoro get to the rooftop and then faced King and Queen. By the time he was too weary and exhausted to face the Calamities any more, Zoro and Sanji were available to finish them off and he also saved Nami from Kaido's Boro Breath (plus, he protected Zoro from one of King's attacks when the medicine was till taking effect).

I feel like people are overlooking all the enemies that would just be available if Marco was absent. Nekumashu was right honestly, Marco was a valuable asset, he just wasn't the person most responsible for winning the war but why should he have been?
