In the last panel we saw blackbeard in, he said something about taking something from the Navy. This means that blackbeard will likely have a clash with the marines during the events of the wano kuni war. If this does happen, I wonder if Garp could get involved?
There are several reasons for this.
first, Garp is a non DF user. in fact, he is the strongest non DF user that the marines have. Given that a big part of Blackbeard's power is negating DFs and stealing them from the corpses of his enemies, if a conflict with blackbeard were to arise, wouldn't the marines send Garp above anyone else to deal with him? Not only would Garp not have his DF negated by the yami yami no mi, as he has no DF, but in the case that he loses, the marines wouldn't be handing over a broken DF to the blackbeard pirates.
the second is the will of D. Obviously, Garp is a D and so is Teach. Hence it would be an interesting dynamic to see those two go head to head. Beyond that however, Teach has actually clashed with every member of the Monkey D family except for Garp. He fought luffy in impel down, dragon during the events of Zou, but he is still yet to face Garp. Garp stood alongside Sengoku against teach in marineford, but I don't think it was ever implied that the two actually fought.
Lastly, there is one major thread that ties together both Garp and Teach. That is rocks. Garp defeated Rocks alongside Roger. Blackbeard on the otherhand, is heavily hinted to have ties to Xebec. Could these ties possibly be exposed via a battle between him and Garp?
