Questions & Mysteries Gods in One Piece

Hi this panel back from skypea is bugging me so i wanted to let it out.

Now with Chapter 1044 we found out more about the "sun god" i wonder if the other gods will also play a role here. Maybe Im Sama is one of them? Or was this just random and we wont see anything like that mentioned ever again. Maybe the 3 others are refered to the ancient weapons then?

You guys are thinking way too much about this whole "god of sun" issue. I doubt it was put there to foreshadow Nika.

An animism like turning the sun into a deity is basic as hell. Pretty much every ancient culture did it, so we have no way to address whether Oda was foreshadowing a figure like Nika (who he introduced explicitly this very arc: we've known about Joy Boy for a decade but Nika was first mentioned as a figure less than thirty chapters ago) or just doing the most basic thing out of basic things to conceive a religious system for less developed people (whether they're isolated angels or savage giants).

Will other gods actually exist? Who knows, Oda is free to make up whatever he wants, but of course things like "god of whatever natural elemment" will be mentioned if Oda is characterizing an ancient culture. Out of it, I highly doubt he was thinking on "Nika" when he created the god of sun praised in Skypiea; considering the sacrifices and all of that, it just sounds like, well, your average god related to nature that ancient tribes would believe in. Therefore, I don't think he'd feel the need of turning every other god into an actual character (but we will see, of course).

to be honest foreshadowing in skypiea is bad why?
1 they worship false god the giant man eater snake poses as god ... that not "sun god" at all shandia people are tricked to worship giant beast like king kong or godzilla by their shaman, in fact the sacrifice remind me of king kong film where they chain the woman for king kong .:kayneshrug:
2 if "sun god" need sacrifice then he is not "sun god nika" remember nika bring joy, freedom and laugh to people , this "sun god" need humans sacrifice, that an evil god :lusalty:

The fact that Nika was first revealed in a manner where his name was "erased" from history, strongly implies he has a connection to the Void Century. Not to mention he is connected to a Devil Fruit the World Government also masked the name of. The void century has been a mystery since practically the beginning of the series. Should we just dismiss any and all information pertaining to it from here on out, because Oda has been keeping it under wraps for so long that it must be just getting made up now?

Skypiea introduced the concept of a Sun God. It is also the same arc where Luffy was drawn in the exact depiction of Nika for the first time. I think it's a safe bet that there is a direct correlation between the two.
