Theory Hanafuda was the one who attacked Drake

Drake was still injured despite everyone else healing from wano. Hence he must have been recently attacked.

imo the culprit was Hanafuda. Hanafuda by his name and theme of collecting ancient zoans, appears to have initially been created as a tobi roppo. Yet Oda likely decided to make him a former shichibukai instead. Why?

I think that rather than have him as a beast pirate, Oda wanted Hanafuda to be a member of Cross Guild instead.

Apoo guessed Drake was a marine and he also made comments about exposing CP0 to Morgans. My guess is that Apoo exposed Drake as a marine, leading to Cross Guild placing a bounty on his head.

Hanafuda then attacked Drake in an attempt to steal his DF and take his bounty. Drake escaped, but Hanafuda might have killed any tobi roppo/calamities he had arrested and stolen their DFs for cross guild.

I think Oda is setting up Sword vs Cross Guild. We know Alvida is part of cross guild and that Koby promised to capture her.

I’m guessing when sword eventually fights Cross guild we’ll get:
Drake vs Hanafuda
Koby vs Alvida
Helmeppo vs Axe Hand Morgan

Being stronger than Drake isn’t a tall order. Especially for a shichibukai

Hanafuda is gone. Drakes just messed up from Wano and isn’t as resilient as the others so he’s still healing.

No one gonna magically heal from severe injuries if they don't receive medical attention, especially if they are forced to move in such condition
