Powers & Abilities Haoshoku haki - Busoshoku haki - Kenbunshoku haki. Levels, Uses and Variations.

#1
It's late and I work tomorrow, so I'll just leave this topic here with a little explanation.

The 3 types of haki have different uses, levels and variations. And not having a specific use means that your haki is generally worse or weaker. For example. We have Hyogoro, who knows how to use Ryou (advanced level of Busoshoku) but we know that he has a lower level of general haki than Kaido, Zoro, etc. Although they don't know how to use Ryou. Rayleigh, who can know the exact number and strength level of monsters on an entire island, but we haven't seen him be able to see the future like Katakuri.
And we have several examples with all types of haki and with many characters, but later I will put the facts and images and I will go into depth and explain each specialty and uses.

Haoshoku haki

1 - Knock enemies unconscious

2 - Boost attacks

3 - Ability to override the future vision of users of the Kenbunshoku haki

Busoshoku haki

1 - Ability to damage akuma no mi users

2 - Offensive and defensive enhancement

3 - Ability to create barriers

4 - Immunity and reversal towards attacks from akuma no mi users

5 - Ryou, penetration capacity

6 - Excess haki (flames?)

Kenbunshoku haki

1 - Detect the presence of living beings

2 - Detect feelings

3 - Improved avoidance of enemy attacks

4 - Ability to see the future for several seconds (depending on level)
Post automatically merged:

Luffy: has the 3 types of haki, different advanced uses of the 3, but he does not have a good general level in any of the hakis.
He barely uses future vision, only a few seconds, low COA power level and low defensive power.

Zoro: has the 3 types of haki, only the advanced form of coc, but he has a very high level of coa in any of its variants and a higher level than Luffy in coo.

Sanji: has 2 types of haki, coa level too low, and coo good in some areas and low in others, no advanced form.

Why is it that people say zoro does not have Ryou:choppawhat:
Because he doesn't have it, his coa is the strongest of the mugiwaras and has a specialty in other areas, but he doesn't use ryou.

Zoro has a high level in coa, he is the best mugi using barrier, hardening, and greater attack and defensive power. And whatever the excess of coa is (green flames, exclusive to him at the moment)

1st of all Ryou = Haki and not an advanced form of Haki. Just like Mantra its just a different name.

Hyo explained that Samurai uses Ryuo aka "Haki" to imbue their blades aka "emission" which releases Haki outside of their body then cover up the object "swords/arrows/sticks/etc" then commands their blades via haki in order to cut or not to cut.

Luffy then goes further by injecting his haki inside of objects/people.

So saying Zoro does not know Ryuo is just saying Zoro has no Haki. It gets confusing so please stick to Internal Damage instead of calling it Ryuo lol.

Yes he does Hyogoro explains to us in Chapter 939: There is an invisible power that stems from the body and can be infused with the blade. A Good katana will cut through steel when you want it to... and will not break a sheet of paper if you do not wish it so! It is all according to the desire of the swordsman. (We know out of the time skip zoro can cut steel. Oda has him cut the steel blades of the octopus clean in half vertically in chapter 642...not shatter them they are clearly cut in half using ryou.)

Zoro and Luffy apply ryou differently.

Luffy uses the barrier for defense and offense and goes a step further and does internal

Zoro uses the barrier for defense on his swords as well as offensively and to cut what he want including steel. If zoro chose to not cut he could also throw attacks like roger/shanks divine departure that do not cut, but zoro told us as a kid he wants to be a swordsman that cuts up everything, and to this date oda has stuck with that for his character.

In chapter 1001 zoro says Was that... the haki he learned from the old man in wano? This doesn't mean that zoro does not have ryou because he questioned it... this is zoro first time seeing the application outside of swordsmanship because unlike luffy zoro was taught by mihawk who only to our knowledge told him to learn to flow into his blades mihawk did not show zoro no touch or internal destruction because he wields a sword. Rayleigh although he wields a sword did not take luffy and show him ryou through swordsmanship, and neither did the old man who was a swordsman....as luffy is a brawler both teachers demonstrated ryou as luffy would use ryou even though both rayleigh and hyou are swordsmen who can infuse there blades and cut what is necessary or not cut a sheet of paper.

Make sense ???
