How can you say, that Mihawk has no desire, when in manga he and Croco disscussed the way to get more power, and both end up getting on the Ride for One Piece. Mihawk didn't argue against whole idea of getting One Piece, and he never said that getting One Piece is hopeless, meaningless decision. Instead Mihawk argued with Buggy about how hard it could get to achieve this goal.

They didn't need to become the Pirate King, that's a ridiculous criteria to put on Mihawk for example who has no interest in being a yonko
