Sage Mode is an extremely powerful buff.
I think it obvious Minato would do a better job of beating Kurama than his kid managed days before his 17th birthday, and Naruto pretty much easily overwhelmed every time he used Sage Mode.
Minato could do all that, and redirect Bijuudama with teleportation jutsu.

In this scenario Minato doesn’t. If he was keeping Kurama inside his body he would easily control it yes
Normal hokage Minato gets cooked like any other shinobi, besides ocular powers and Hashirama
Minato devloped Rasengan by observing TBBs, so he had experience fighting Bijju, unless Kushina was a perfect Jinchuriki, which she isn't.
If Minato doesn't have the means to hurt Kyubi, in a worse case scenario, he could tag him and simply redirect his own attacks at him. Kurama would also be too slow to do jack shit.

Naruto and Hashirama sage mode is different from mortals like Minato and Jiraiya
Naruto’s sage mode is only powerful because his clones could store sage energy making him last longer, plus he combined it with Kurama’s chakra
For Hashirama, combining sage mode with wood jutsu made him invincible
Even if Minato had infinite sage mode, he still wouldn’t be able to tickle Kurama
Minato has poor chakra, he has nothing in his arsenal that can damage kurama (even reflected biju bombs) eventually he gasses out and dies

Why are you taking it for granted Kurama can tank more of his own Bijūdama than Minato has chakra to redirect at him?
I don’t think there’s any cause to consider it overrated, given its buffs every stat massively and what has been demonstrated as possible with it.

This isn’t true unless you’re referring to Naruto combining Bijū Mode and Sage Mode - which isn’t relevant to the examples I used. Those Naruto using regular Sage Mode, the same Minato proved he could perform.
This method didn’t make Naruto’s SM inherently stronger, just more efficient.

It's stated that teleporting large objects takes a huge amount of chakra, and Bijudama are gigantic.
And Minato teleporting Kurama outside of the village took almost all his chakra alone
So he can realistically teleport at most a few Bijudama, Kurama tanks them in his sleep and nothing suggests otherwise.
Also, little addendum, Kurama isn't a retard, he's an amazing strategist, so the idea that he'll keep spamming Bijudama after seeing Minato teleport them in his face is just laughable.

You'll of course appreciate the noticeable difference in size between a Bijū and and Bijūdama, and that Minato didn't make mention or seem concerned with his ability to redirect them.
