I know, I know this will sound crazy, but for me, Imu already feels much better villain than Kaido. To be honest, I never liked Kaido...I was more like a Big Mom fan than this alcoholic. Kaido jumped from the sky because he wanted to die. That already made him for me someone who is crazy. But in the end, he was able to jump into the water and just die. So this downplays Kaido even more. Also, I wasn't impressed by any of his subordinates. Starting from Jack, all the Beast Crew, for me, looked dumb and incompetent. I hated Orochi...and I hate Gifters because all of this seemed so dumb, so I didn't feel any threat from him. And the last straw for me was how Kaido was dealing with things. I had some hopes for him because he was an ally of Doffy. But then I learned that Kaido, for no reason, devastated the whole Wano country, without a big goal behind. And I didn't even mention how dumb Kaido looked when G3 Luffy punched him.
And on the other hand, I saw Imu and how she is dealing with things. She is evil, that's for sure, but she is much smarter than Kaido. She built WG and ruled it for 800 years. She didn't try to make people pray to her because she liked to play the role of hidden ruler of the whole world. So despite the fact that she is crazy powerful, she didn't mind ruling from the shadows. Also, I already loved her attitude in 1150 when she just started to give orders to Dorry and Broggy without a second thought. It impressed me - she was so confident, as if nothing could change what she had planned.
Also, Imu has impressive subordinates, that already shown themselves as a much more competent group than the Beast Pirates. I'm not talking right now about Gorosei, who, because of the plot(probably) wasn't shown on the same level of competence as Holy Knights. But Gorosei have their style to say the least, and even Saturn was a much better villain than Queen, Jack, and even King(my hot take). I mean, at the very least, Saturn was able to uncover the biggest secret behind the Pacifista, that Vegpank inserted another level of hierarchy, so all Pacifista would listen to the commands from Bonney.
Holy Knights honestly impressed me: starting with Gunko, who was able to easily defeat someone like Jinbe, and finishing with Shamrock, who looks hot :D Besides those two, I didn't even see other Holy Knights, but I loved a few of them from the God Valley flashback, so if they didn't age, I believe some of them still could be active and even young.
And of course, Marines are also subordinates of Imu, and I love Marines, especially Akainu(don't ask why hahaha). So yup.
This is my Hot Take, and what do you guys think about it?
