Yeah we know he was a bad person but the real pirate bellamy in real life, was called the prince of good legend says that he got that name from letting his enemies go away after some intense battles and he was known by the people from being good.
what if oda was inspired by this, and bellamy’s change was exactly like this. Now he travels the world because he got a dream not like before, perhaps everyone that he encounters who needs help bellamy helps them, and from a simple thanks to this people makes him happy. He probably this is what he wants something he later realize.
so its like this bellamy’s character was to teach us viewers that if you have a dream and you keep reaching it, you will never be lose in which at part 1 something he gave up on.
