we know Luffy should fight big mom and defeat her in elbaf. no matter how much big mom haters will try to manipulate this shit Luffy said countless times and the build up is crystal clear and is too much for it to not happen.it will be garbage writing to the next level

so anyways...Luffy defeated the Great pirate Charlotte LinLin...shsnks acknowledged Luffy surpassed him etc

my question is; how oda will show us that Blackbeard surpassed big mom better then Luffy did ?

Defeating shanks sounds cute...red hair pirates are the most balanced crew...EVEN if we say that shanks is as strong as big mom but has stronger crew which could be true I don’t see how that will hype Blackbeard.

imo there are 2 options for oda to choose from:

1- Blackbeard destroys shanks horribly...but that will be such a slap to the face to shanks fans after they have waited decades lol

2- shanks and admirals/his whole crew/outside help VS teach ...

Yes I believe he probably wanted to act conservatively thus far, despite probably featuring enough power to take down all yonko in a 1 on 1, maybe except Shanks due being a non devil fruit user factually.

Not sure how many users here think about the notion that Shanks is most likely not the perfect paradigm for BB to establish superiority over a single yonko unless he was pointing towards the most difficult direction or maybe if the RHP are factually less intimidating than the other crews enough by still pushing him over such direction. But the encounter could also be circumstantial.

I don't think BB will defeat Shanks soon if at all personally, I can see Luffy rendering him his hat back most likely and it doesn't exclude the former anyway.
