Theory How DF Awakens

Idk if someone already came up with this theory but I believe I know how DF are awakened

I believe Devil Fruits are awakened via trauma be it mental or physical

Let's take a field trip to everyone who was shown to be awoken

Doffy- was tortured and strung up by uppity citizens and then later killed his father and later his brother (traumatic)

Katakuri- bullied his whole life for being ugly and his ugliness got Brule hurt (traumatic(

Kid- got dearmed but assumingly Beckmen (physical)

Law( got beat down and psychology fucked up by the man who killed his father figure after giving it his all for revenge ( traumatic and Physical)

Lucci and Kaku got beat to near death by Luffy and Zoro (physical)

Are you seeing a pattern?

Luffy quite literally died then awoken

Prison guards in impel down? (Yeah they're lives is just as shitty as the Prisoners)

Now i bet you're wondering why wasn't Kaido awakened or Big Mom or white beard

Because they never experienced anything traumatic or physical

They stood at the top for decades for a reason

(If crocodile is awakened after getting punched through concrete then I believe my theory is confirmed)

I still think it has more to do with some sense of enlightenment. Trauma is just a catalyst. That is to say, not everyone who experiences trauma becomes awakened. Though, there is something to be said for Cosmic Law (a subject nobody will ever give weight to).

Law didn't awaken in wano he just revealed that he was in wano kid asked him during the big mom fight if he was awakened

A mental breakdown is not the same as a traumatic experience mental breaks downs are more akin to panic attacks

Since we only have one case on panel (luffy) I think Oda told us almost everything we need to know.
Remember when kaido said luffy's still staring at him and does CoC blasts whole unconscious earlier? I think awakening happens when the Will of a person overwhelms the own body or beats the DF's Will (which is indeed a thing, DFs influence the user's behaviors. Sometimes subtle sometimes more obvious).

Same thing will probably be the case for black blades.

Moriah was traumatized by Kaido.

Kaido was traumatized by Oden(this was heavily brought up during Wano arc).

Big Mom was traumatized all her childhood basically.

Luffy was near death many times. He should have awakened earlier.

Crocodile was traumatized by Whitebeard.

Whitebeard maybe was awakened? Not sure if Teach could replicate his DF feats in the same level. I believe this was Whitebeard's best feat with his DF.

And I believe this was Teach's

Maybe Teach can only destroy things with his unawakened DF while Whitebeard could move tectonic plates.
