Speculations How God Valley relates to Harald?

#1
The flashback starts in ch 1152 with Loki recalling the day Harald dies. Then the narrator takes over:

“On this day there was a massacre in the castle and the most beloved king in elbaf’s history, the wise king Harald, perished. But what was it that caused people to praise him so? For that we must go far back in time…”

So the narrator is telling us that this flashback is all supposed to provide context for Harald. Yet currently we are in God Valley focusing on Dragon, Rocks, Roger, and Garp. What does Harald have to do with this?

The one likely point of connection is the holy knights and in particular Gunko/Imu. Gunko seems to be the avatar of Imu, doing his will upon the earth while he hides in the shadows.

My guess is that it was Imunko that actually defeated Rocks. Who then domi reversi’d him and set him against Roger and the other Rocks pirates. Given how powerful Rocks is, it’s possible that Imunko couldn’t properly control him. Similar to Moria’s zombies with powerful shadows. This is what caused Garp to ultimately be forced to take him down to protect the CDs.

Garp, being like Koby, probably didn’t want to outright murder Rocks. Instead he probably wished to save him and have him face judgement, as is how justice should work. Roger probably saw Rocks the same way Luffy sees Kid, a friendly rival; again I doubt Roger wanted to kill him. However Imu’s influence forced Garp and Roger to kill Rocks.

This is likely the same thing that happened to Harald. Imunko turned him, Loki was forced to kill him to save Elbaf.

Oda is setting up the final scenario where the SHs and allies will again be forced to kill Dorry and Brogy. But this time via the power of plot, Dorry and Brogy will be successfully saved from Imu’s influence.
