Akainu spared him. The duel wasn’t a death match whoever won was going to be the fleet admiral and loser would remain admiral.

Aokiji was just a sore loser and quit the game cause he lost.
According to an above manga panel it was to the death, and Sakazuki couldn’t bring himself to kill him.

But true that, he then has the nerve to ally himself with a despicable pig of a pirate he spent decades fighting against, talk about down bad.

anime didnt cover this or wat? :myman:
Love how Jinbe knows all that without even being there, no longer a Shichibukai so no secret info from WG and this is 1500 ways of information are limited.

Just want to say Aokiji is(or at least were) stronger than Akainu but lost because of DF disavantage. For their fight last 10 days it is quite obvious to me. Remember Ace DF going toe to toe with his DF at Marineford, and Ace is weak as fuck.

I would love to find out how long will Kuzan remain alive. The theories regarding Teach fighting off Kuzan and not necessarily just Teach if they find something too suspicious about the man are well founded but so far they most likely did not.

No

Akainu and Aokiji have equal DFs. Akainu had a specific elemental advantage over Ace that didn’t apply to Aokiji. Akainu won because of other factors.
Aokiji only clashed evenly with Ace because he didn’t go all out, like most scenerios in Matineford. Akainu and Aokiji fought evenly for ten days because they are even.

admirals fight equally and they can fodderize commanders. Akainu has the advantage but what difference does it make when they can make unlimited of their element to counter balance. If Ace was admiral level there woulf be no disadvantage because his flames would burn hotter and have more force

Hie Hie isn't necessarily weaker than Magu Magu.

Both were presented as extensively lethal. Magu the most lethal offensively. Perhaps Hie's defence is slightly more proficient but this will have got to be displayed by Oda. We witnessed too little objectively to proper determine their full potential.

AoE wise Magu didn't impress me more too.
