The notion that the RS is all all-together protective garb, can someone show where that is shown to be the case?
Sanji mentions the cape as being the "shield", he's not saying the whole suit is a shield, just the cape is highlighted as a protective feature. The RS is fireproof (at least Judge's was) but where is it said it protects against physical attacks? Even Sanji had little issue defeating Yonji with raidsuit.
In fact in WCI the suit was never mentioned as being something problematic. They developed special bullets for the "metal skin" of the Vinsmokes, not for the suit. (now that I think about it btw, that the bullet that was shot at Sanji that pierced his skin may have been such a bullet)
Again, just because Sanji mentions that the suit is durable in and of itself doesn't mean that the suit lends durability to the user. That means Sanji took the full brunt of those attacks by P1 and King, meaning he wasn't saved by some "daddy's technology" or whatever people like to make fun of him for.
