i think he's 50-55 yo, around the same age as Moria, Dragon, Akainu. Few years younger than Oden (59). He was an apprentice in the Rocks, just like Marco, Shanks and Buggy at first. The only thing that's different is that he was definitely not a 'normal' kid and already has large body and perhaps great strength since his teenage years.
Kaidou was an apprentice under Rocks like Shanks & Buggy we’re under Roger & Marco, Jozu etc. under WB, so he’s was most likely a lot younger than the likes of Lilin & WB at the time. I’d say Kaidou is 55 max. which would’ve made him 17 years old 38 years ago. So Akainu’s generation. It’s a bit hard to imagine he was an apprentice at age 18+ given the examples we have so far.
There’s no way he’s younger than 50, and that’s if he was just 10 when the Rocks shit went down. Not entirely outside the realm of possibility - Buggy and Shanks were children on Roger’s ship, Koala hung with the Sun Pirates as a kid, and Jack was fucking eight years old during (and still implied to be involved in) Oden’s execution - but his silhouette from the Rocks reveal made it look like he was at least in his 20s, assuming Linlin/Newgate were in their 30s then.
I’ll say he’s in his mid 60s now, unless it’s revealed that he’s actually an oni/other sort of creature that took on a humanoid form, then he could be decades or even centuries older than he looks.
