Questions & Mysteries How will Shanks react to Loki being freed?

#1
So, as we all know, Shanks is the person who brought back Loki to Elbaf after beating him.

And after 6 years, he was finally freed, by Luffy who is now another Yonko just like Shanks. So, what will Shanks think of this? Well, as we know from the very start of the arc, he takes protecting his allies and territory very seriously. We can see this when he rushed to detain Bartolomeo after Bartolomeo burnt a flag on his territory

This is of course similar to what we see from Shanks in chapter 1, where he talks about how he won´t tolerate any harm to his friends, however I think there is one difference

Shanks at first didn´t care about disrespect. Now he does. As far as we know, all Bart did was burn his flag and replace it with Luffys flag, he isn´t said to have hurt or killed anyone. So why does Shanks now care about disrespect? Simple, I think perception is everything, as he said, he doesn´t want people to lose trust in him, or for the world to think anyone can go and cause trouble in his territories. Look at Oden for example, when he returned to Wano, he was seen as the hero that would save the country from Orochi. However, after he began dancing half naked in the street, much of Wano lost respect for him and the country essentially became Kaidos. Also, I think there´s one more reason Bartolomeo had to be dealt with, so much so that Yasopp decided to finish him off.

I think its interesting to think that the RHP were at first looking for Blackbeard at Wano, and some of them decided why not visit Luffy, but Shanks decided to focus on Bart instead, weeks after he burnt down their flag. Imo, this is because Shanks realized the era was changing fast, and he went from the newest Yonko pre time skip, many decades younger then WB/Kaido/BM, to being the longest reigning Yonko. Now that Big mom and Kaido had fallen to the new generation(and around the same time, the revolutionary army is having huge victories against the world government) pirates were coming to take his spot. Bart is only just the start. While he wasn´t acting under orders from Luffy, it is worth pointing out that Luffy does indeed plan on taking down Shanks, just not first.

And if you look at the pattern
FMI: Big Mom doesn´t have beef with Luffy until he comes to mess with her business on FMI
Ph: Doffy doesn´t have beef with Luffy until he kidnaps Ceasar
Dressrosa: Kaido doesn´t have beef with Luffy until he destroys his Smile factories
could the pattern continue with Shanks not having beef with Luffy until he decided to free the most dangerous criminal on Elbaf, an island associated with Shanks? Could this be why we didn´t get a Shanks and Luffy meeting on Wano after Luffy became a great pirate? Because they might meet on bad terms on Elbaf?

Well, realistically, he won't find about this before Loki is beaten (if he's the bad guy) by Luffy. If Loki continues doing harm then he will definitely rush back to help since he puts his friends and allies over anyone.

I think it's less about respect from his territorial residents but more about their safety like Shanks said here. Shanks is a very charismatic dude who basically gets liked by most people on every island he goes. Luffy also "disrespected" him in chapter 1 but obviously continued to like him

So clearly disrespect doesn't bother him much as long as the people he's protecting are safe. Trust does because he doesn't want them to be scared, so I don't think that aspect of Shanks has changed.

Eh, again, it's just Shanks caring more about the safety of the people he's protecting rather than being afraid of being taken down (well they kinda go hand in hand). From what we've known, Shanks loves the new era since that'll be the era to liberate the world, as long as they ain't fucking with the safety of his friends lol

Hmm. They're definitely not meeting in Elbaf. Luffy could meet Shanks annoyed and partial bad terms but I don't see a reason for Shanks to meet with Luffy on bad terms from his perspective because he's always praising him from what we know. Luffy being annoyed at him is a very good possibility though since he's been glazing him like a full time pornstar on Elbaf so a switch in personality is not out of the realm of possibility. But do you seriously think oda goes down that route? That rolemodel relationship is one thing oda wants to maintain no matter what

Why would Shanks Imprison Loki? He intends to keep him like that Forever? Ofc not,
Shanks knows about a Storm & He wanted to Hide Loki till that Storm Pass,

Hide him from Who? We already know when Loki was Introduced, it's none other than WG who put a Special Bounty on him,
And now We can see that for some reason, They wanna Recruit him or at least Shamrock/Figarland Family does,
(Probably because of his DF)

Shamrock confirmed that Shanks once came back to Mary Geoise, and it makes sense to me that it happened around 6 Years Ago,
That's when Shanks decided to Capture Loki & He clearly didn't deliver him to WG,

In other words, Shanks didn't want to Imprison Loki, He wanted to Hide him,
As we've seen, Shamrock didn't know where Loki is being Kept nor did He grab the Key before going there,
They only recently learned about him, as seen when Shamrock went to Gorosei to probably talk about him,

So Shanks won't be Bothered by Loki's Freedom, He will be Bothered by Holy Knights who are after him now,
Also remember First Scene showing Elbaph in this Saga? It was Recreation of Chapter 1 Scene with Red-Hair Pirates & the Bar,
I don't think it's Coincidence that after Red-Hair Pirates Left, some Bandits appear to Kidnap Kids, just like Higuma with Young Luffy,

In other words, it's possible Red-Hair Pirates will return to Elbaph soon (Possibly after 4 Volumes of this Arc, 2 are already Over),
And We will see them Defeat those Holy Knights (Probably Oda will reveal Signature Attacks of Beckman, Roux & Yasopp).

I like this theory but Shamrock said Shanks preferred to stay in the lower world implying Shanks straight up said no to the HKs. Doubt they'd task him with a mission after it unless he did some spy shit and got some secret intel through spying

No I didn't mean They Tasked him, He simply learned They wanted Loki, so He went to Capture/Hide him.
And i believe this Elbaph DF is similar Case to Pluton Blueprints, meaning it's something that can Re-Create an Ancient Weapon
(Possibly Uranus)

Shamrock probably have same Motives as Spandam, They both had a Meeting with Gorosei to convince them to allow this Operation, telling them that it's better to Harness such Power rather than simply try to Prevent it, but in reality, Spandam wanted to Depose WG & Rule himself, which is what i believe Shamrock wants as well (Alongside Garling who is this Arc's Spandine Relationship Wise)

So Shanks is working against his Family imo, but not WG, because since He is a CD then He understands that even CDs can be Good (Just like Mjosgard or Doffy's Father), thus i believe that Shanks doesn't wanna Dethrone CDs completely like Dragon does, He only wants to Cure it from Evil within (Such as his Own Family)

I think Oda will probably keep Luffy looking up to Shanks as a pirate, but at some point he will probably have to surpass him before he becomes PK, since they´re technically in the race against eachother(also there´s the Usopp Yasopp thing). I think if they fight it will be like the og DB Goku vs Roshi fights where it´s a serious competition first but at the end they all have a party on Elbaf with the giants forgiving Luffy. I´m not sure though
