Well of course by committing some heinous or clamorous actions.

That could be killing off another Yonko for example and yes, not necessarily Shanks.

I hope he does not join Wano however, it would feel too forced.

yeah that's why Teach has to do something as big as Luffy , if not bigger , to keep Luffy as the underdog until their fated fight

Mihawk and Teach are the only 2 characters who were consistently highlighted in the 2 past interludes between Act 1-2 and 2-3 ( but maybe i overlooked someone ) :

Mihawk :

Teach :

so pretty sure we'll see them again in interludes between Act 3 and 4 , and Act 4 and 5

my expectations :
β€’ between Act 3 and 4 :
- Mihawk is fighting SSG's weapon , or is somewhere in New World ( maybe in Shanks' territory )
- Teach gets Pluton . it was the only Ancient Weapon that in belonged to no one , as Poseidon is already Luffy's and i believe Mariejois National Treasure is Uranus , so it's in possesion of Imu .

i think Teach was going to take it , in that 956 panel .

β€’ between Act 4 and 5 :
- Mihawk is in Shanks' island with Shanks himself and other Red Hair Pirates
- Teach and other Blackbeard Pirates are preparing to attack Red Hair Pirates ( and Teach will bring Pluton of course ) .

Teach is the underdog going against Luffy. There is nothing Teach can do or has done that matches what Luffy has accomplished so far, and will accomplish, by the end of Wano.

By acquiring Pluton while the Navy is in Alabasta. I imagine the admiral who goes to Alabasta will be Kizaru and Blackbeard will end up being able to bypass Kizaru's fruit because "Darkness absorbs everything, even light".
I don't see Kizaru getting defeated, but I see Blackbeard being able to collect Pluto. So the navy will boost his bounty because he managed to get an Ancient Weapon and because he took it from an admiral.

I forgot what chapter, but it should be when he said to his crew to "get stuff before everyone else get it" when shicibukai are chased by marine. The stuff he want to take must be so important that it could raise even his bounty

Oda now put him after some ex schiki ass aka his crew is gonna become even stronger then I also believe that to complete his holy df trinity he will take Kaido's fruit so, even if Luffy manages to beat Kaido and take the merit BB will simply take all the powers Kaido's myth zoan has for himself. Maybe his bounty will not skyrocket immediately but it is cleat that by that point he is stronger than a simple yonko (if this happens of course).

Honestly I don't see anything bigger than what Luffy is about to do being available to keep Teach's bounty significantly above Luffy's.

Acquiring an ancient weapon could work but it would make no sense for it to be that easy, and pretty distasteful for that to be the way to do so with a weapon anyone else could have used instead of individual merit.

It just reinforces my belief that Teach's initial bounty was far too lower despite Oda's intentions. Breaking into Impel Down to free the world's worst prisoners should have been nearly impossible to top.

I know Oda would never have done this because he would have wanted to preserve Kaido's hype (even though Oden already ruined that), but Teach's bounty should have been the second highest so his jump to the top would be much smoother, and the Yonkou's bounties in general should have been much closer and not so spread apart.

His bounty is fine
