Things are heating up!

I predict another prince death (or two) in the next 3-4 chapters.

Tserr is such a beast.

Might be the most talented Nen user in the world (alongside Gin?) with how Togashi goes out of his way to show that even other prodigys (guard who could Tsetsu since birth) are completely flabbergastered by Tserr's Nen talent.

I was thinking about pure talent alone, not about the "best" Nen user.

Netero for example was probably the best Nen user in the world in his prime, but it wasn't due to sheer talent alone. Huge part of it was due to his insane training.

Gin and Tserr have both shown a completely ridiculous natural talent with Nen.

Gin can imitate other punching abilities on the fly and also do some crazy magic trick stuff with his aura, whereas Tserr can do things in a matter of minutes that even other good Nen users take months/years for.

So while Tserr isn't a top 5 Nen user in the world yet, it's only bc he lacks experience with it. In terms of pure talent he's already there.

The plot thickens… I don’t believe Zhang Lei is making out this war. I see Halkenburg being a step ahead, avoiding this assassination attempt.

Tserriednich is a problem, he’s in his training arc. They can breath lol

Luzurus is no fool, but he looks even more sus :pepebusi:his survival of this succession war just went up.

Kurapika will likely come up with a great plan to escape, until Tserriednich gets involved.

Great chapter

I have a theory based on the truth of Halkenburg's birth detail. If there's any suspicious info about his birth, I think it's because of #1 Queen Unma.

People assumed this Halkenburg reveal is to identify Beyond's royal prince, but that's too obvious when Togashi is going all out with the complexity in this arc with many subplots. He'll probably include another subplot that is "the queens' drama". There might be a lore reason why Togashi designed Halkenburg to look exactly like Unma instead of Duazul, the queen listed as his mother.

Theory that Halkenburg and Morena are Queen Unma's legal children

I think Halkenburg is Unma's abandoned child, adopted as a baby by 2nd Queen Duazul. We haven't seen what kind of character Unma is yet. Togashi is probably saving the big reveal that she’s the most evil queen of them all. She abandons weaker heirs to be adopted by another queen just to watch them lose. She's obsessed with being the mother of the strongest heirs to win the Succession War (SW).

I don't know what Unma’s method is for deciding which child to abandon. Maybe she uses a fortune teller, or it could be her own narcissistic instinct, picking favorite heirs as if she’s shopping for the ones she thinks have the best chance to become king. This explains why she has the most aggressive sons (Tserriednich/Benjamin) and abandons the ones she dislikes—especially daughters. Even Tubeppa might originally be Unma's child, not Duazul's.

If Duazul was kind enough to adopt one child from Unma, she might have adopted another. Perhaps Camilla is Duazul’s only biological child, since Luzurus seems to be a mafia child. Though it would be wild if none of them were Duazul’s biological children, not even Camilla—maybe she adopted all four. I also wouldn’t rule out the possibility that a desperate mistress, unable to marry Nasubi, slipped her child into Duazul’s family to exploit the "legal wife" rule.

This might explain why Benjamin wants to kill Halkenburg first. He probably knows the truth, since even the Justice Bureau seems aware of Halkenburg’s true origins. It would be ironic if Unma’s abandoned child, Halkenburg, ends up killing her favorite son, Benjamin, ruining her plan for the "stronger" child to win.

Melody hopes Halkenburg will use the message wisely, but I think it will only push him to win the SW to spite Queen Unma for abandoning him and prevent Tserriednich from winning, especially after learning about his crimes and monstrous nature. Remember, Halkenburg went from wanting to withdraw from the SW to THIS, so the message will likely worsen his mental state, revealing more unpleasant surprises for him.

Morena is the real 4th prince—Unma was in cahoots with the former Heil-Ly boss, swapping her daughter (Morena) with their child (Tserriednich).

The mafia gave Morena the scar after the swap to avoid suspicion and ensure she couldn't reclaim Tserriednich's position as a legal prince. Notice that the #1 and #3 queens are the only ones who haven’t yet appeared in panels interacting with anyone. We only have hints about #3 Queen’s mafia ties—likely because these queens have distinct mafia-related stories, which Togashi is saving for later plot developments.

The 3rd queen’s situation seems straightforward: she cheated on Nasubi to carry a mafia child. But Unma's actions are more twisted—she didn't need to cheat. Instead, she agreed to swap her child with the mafia's, believing the swapped child had stronger potential to elevate her status as the mother of a future king. Unma abandoned Morena, labeling her "too weak to win," which aligns with real-life cases of mothers obsessed with success.

It seems Togashi referenced the cuckoo bird theme in Morena's page. "Cuckoo in the nest" is a metaphor for brood parasitism—female cuckoo birds leave their eggs in other species' nests to be raised as their own.

This idea aligns with the theme of swapping babies or abandoning a child. Both Unma and Tser's biological mother resemble cuckoo birds, though for different reasons, likely agreeing on the swap. As a result, Morena was probably raised by Tser’s biological mother and likely abused within the mafia.

This also adds depth to Morena's comment about her scar saving her from death by excluding her from the deadly war. It further explains her hatred toward Tser and the former Heil-Ly gang—she feels they stole her royal life and replaced her with Tserriednich.

Narratively, this scenario makes Morena’s story more tragic. Not only was her life derailed by the mafia, but it was also her own biological mother who allowed it, abandoning her for selfish reasons. Morena becomes like a female version of Gyro.

How did Tserriednich pass the seed urn ceremony if he isn’t a biological child of a legal wife?

The seed urn only requires the OG king’s bloodline—it doesn’t distinguish between legal and illegal children. That’s why scars are so important for illegal children, as they prevent them from participating. The urn can only reject those without the OG king’s blood.

However, the rule about children of legal wives is added to specify which princes can participate in the ceremony on the boat. Even if a child comes from Nasubi’s mistress or half-siblings, the urn will still recognize their royal bloodline, but they must be listed as legal princes to participate.

This means, like Zhang Lei and Luzurus, Tser must have inherited his royal blood from the former Heil-Ly boss, who is likely Nasubi's half-sister. Her husband might be Tser’s real father, possibly playing an important role in the mafia.

You might ask why the former Heil-Ly boss wouldn't be a half-brother instead of a sister. Well, I think Togashi would introduce variety by making Tser’s case different from the other mafia bosses. Togashi has also stated that he wants to include as many characters as possible in this arc, so we might eventually meet Tser’s real parents and discover where he inherited his talent.

Will read it later.

I mean, the subplots will keep up coming and there might even be a queen who is a child of Nasubi himself. Considering how fucked up this gets I wouldn't be surprised if he married his daughters or at least one ... (pure speculation, it's based on nothing)

Dude, did you make that on your own ? I mean, the only theories I can make are toddler theories compared to that :josad:

With that said. I don't understand everything that was said lmfao. HxH theories are even more complicated than the manga :kobeha:

Also sometimes it feels like the connections made are more speculation than based on text x text BUT again I feel like I didn't really understand it :bamathink:
