● Hi my friends i hope you are Ok i want to talk about Viz and their mistranslation about Hyori words 《 enma 》 in chapter 953 by saying that :
《 Enma is the only blade that wounded Kaido 》

● While if we use the japanese scan :
▪She Said :
《 代わり を さしあげ ます !!
私 が 亡き 父 から 譲り 受け た 刀
名刀 「 閻 魔 」!!
カイドウ に 唯一 傷 を
つけ た 伝説 の 刀 です ! ! 》

Which can be translated in english to :

《 i will give you something in exchange. the katana that I inherited from my late father. The meito Enma. the legendary katana that gave Kaido's only wound 》

▪so if we compare Viz translation and the japanese words of Hyori there is a difference :

☆ Viz : they implied that enma is the only blade that gave Kaido's Scar while it is wrong because we saw that ame no habakiri also gave the other cut to Kaido .


▪So Enma isn't the only blade that gave Kaido his only Scar but also ame no habakiri and there is no mention of the only blade or anything else so it's only Oden's swordmanship that made him scaring Kaido permanently .

And @Aknolagon can confirm this and thanks to him for his help .

It's not a mistranslation, it's one of those japanese sentences that can be read both ways.

Can be translated as "It is the only legendary sword that has wounded Kaido!!" but since Oden used 2 sword style, it's unlikely to be the case.

I agree that it can be read both ways but context is important. Oden is a user of Nitoryu
