If Oda wrote the Sasuke vs Orochimaru plot, he would have offscreened it and then he would create a panel of Tsunade, Jiraya, Sakura and Naruto reacting to the news (second image below) but not reveal it to us for another 100 chapters.

They are so used to the stall stall no mi.
I guess, they get fake sense of hype, which the author should have delivered right there and then to begin with.
I completed Naruto first, maybe I am biased. But, Oda really need to learn how to be concise.

There were so many plot points that should have been answered right away but for some reason Oda loves to keep them a mystery for no reason other than for the sake of keeping it a mystery.
