Though I get your point... Yamato in Egghead plot will make the situation "unappealing"... Combat-wise, it would be easier... Plot progression-wise, it would be complicated because Yamato will cause more trouble, being someone isolated in an outdated place, it would be difficult for Oda and the editors to make her adjust 2 arcs in a row (future and present)...
