TLDR: Mr. 2 gathered the aid of the former Shichibukai, Doflamingo, to break Sabo/Vivi out of Impel Down, which is why Sabo and Doflamingo are shown in the recent chapter on a screen/paper, respectively. Just as Bon Kurei did everything he could to save Ace, he will do everything he can to save Sabo (who's cutting onions? Is it you, Moria?)
In 1053, in the second/third pages (the Double-Spread with Kid/Law/Luffy's bounties), there's a neat little detail many might have missed. If you check out the panel with Sabo's profile on a screen, in the bottom of the panel, a shirtless man is holding a newspaper, with a man with very familiar sunglasses featured upon it. It's hard to tell (make sure to zoom in), but... looks like Doffy, doesn't it? Who else has sunglasses like that?
Say Sabo did get captured and sent to Impel Down (with Vivi, potentially).

I always wondered what Chekov gun Oda was pulling with Bentham, but, it's so fucking obvious: Mr. 2 stayed behind in Impel Down, to RESCUE SABO AND VIVI. Who could he get to help with that? Doflamingo
It's funny how much Doffy and Bentham fit together.
-Both have bird motifs (Bon Kurei's swan shoulders, Doflamingo... uh... yeah, flamingo, got it)
-Both fight with their legs primarily
-Both have pink and white as their color palettes
-Both orchestrated take-overs of kingdoms
-Both are despised by princesses of these kingdoms for their crimes
-Mr. 2 imitates peoples bodies, while Doflamingo controls peoples bodies.
This frees up Sabo and Vivi to rejoin Luffy in Wano. Praise be to Nika, get my man Bon Kurei to Wano, so I can cry manly, manly Okama tears
