Speculations Imu’s chosen = Nazgûl?

#1
In Lord of The Rings, Sauron tricks the human kings into wearing rings that would give them power. However these rings basically enslave them and turn them into Sauron’s immortal servants.

This reminds me of Imu’s covenant, what he did to Harald, and what Imu likely did to their original founding members of the world government.

Do y’all think Oda was inspired by LOTR? If so do you think there are any other story elements inspired by Tolkien?

Lol.. not bad. Interesting.

I hope not, the more he would add from things like LoTR, the more fantastical this story would become. If an Eru Iluvatar-like character shows up, I'm done with the story.

I thought about something similar when I saw that scene of Frodo getting stabbed by the nazgul. Prior to that, he takes on the Ring and sees what they truly are.

What if Usopp were the one to find out Imus true identity? Like seeing the true Imu with his special haki.
