And since one piece is a history shonen oda is taking inspiration from the oldest civilization: the ancient Egypt
And that long crown on Imu's head may allude to the double feather crown of Amun Ra.
By the way, Amun Ra was considered the "King of the Gods".
I doubt that Oda went that deep into the matter, but Akhenaten, the founder of monotheism and the one who had people pray to the sun - symbolized by the winged sun disk of Aten, can be seen as an adversary of the ancient Egyptian gods - above all Amun Ra and his influential priesthood. Akhenaten's religious center was in Amarna and was called Akhet-Aton, which was razed to the ground by the priesthood of Amun and whose existence was to be erased from the history books, just as Akhenaten erased the ancient names of the gods. Akhenaten's right eye has also sometimes been knocked out since then, as evidenced by statues and even his damaged skull. This is also associated today with the "All-Seeing Eye of God" and thus secret socities (as a sign of victory or warning), which is why an ancient conflict is concluded from this.
Oda doesn't usually go beyond names and looks when it comes to inspiration, and that's likely to be the case here, but I can already see a few parallels: A "sun god"; pharaohs (Tenryuubito) who are worshiped as gods and have slaves; enemies of the "gods" erased from history; and the "King of the Gods" at the top.
