Theory Imu, Moriah, and Doflamingo's Mission

#1
Hey guys so this will just be a quick theory regarding the events that occurred between Doflamingo and the World Government after Marineford. Doflamingo was given the mission to eliminate Moriah by someone "much higher up" than Sengoku on the ladder, which implies to me it is related to the World Nobles, and possibly the Gorosei.

Now, why would the Gorosei place so much emphasis on Moriah in particular? Well, let's take a look at his devil fruit. In essence, he can give and take away shadows as he pleases.

With the recent happenings of One Piece Chapter 1060, and the shadow shown in the sky, as well as Imu's silhouette, it very much reminded me of this particular scene:

Those that have their shadow taken away from them cannot walk under the sun, or they will burn away and vanish.

In the manga:

What if Imu, or whatever shadow they control to eliminate things, was trying to target Thriller Bark, but since there was a thick white veil concealing the ocean, could not quite pinpoint the location? It would be difficult to track a moving ship after all as well.

Why would Imu or the world government require Moriah's fruit you might ask? Well for multiple reasons such as possible revival of specific corpses, perhaps a different application of the fruit...Or...

Imu might not have their shadow at all, and it was taken by a previous user of the Kage Kage no Mi.

It's not much to go off of but, none of the panels depicting Imu have shown them having any sort of shadow at all, just their long coat or cape.

It would sync with the themes of Luffy being the Sun God, and possibly being the reason for Imu's demise. Imu lacking a shadow may play a role in that in some shape, way, or form.
