Character Discussion Imu's Level of Evil.

#1
I dont believe its a surprise that we know Imu is rather heartless and cruel. We seen them basically nuking an entire Kingdom and do other heinous crimes. Calling them a tyrant wouldn't be an understatement. The entire thing of CDs and their atrocities most definitely can be attributed to Imu as well.
We even seen all this demonic magic and themes.

But I would consider the last few chapters a portrayal of how deep Imu's evil actually goes.
A Genocide used for entertaining the nobles to get rid of an ancient clan.
Trying to force Rocks into killing his own family for apparently no reason than taking pleasure in it.

The Seals however, I consider a special kind of evil.
While its true Harald was too blinded into accepting it, imagine the idea that Imu always knows where you are. Always in threat of losing your entire will. Your entire personality overwritten.
Being forced to do things you cannot fight against or resist.
And worst of all, even if you realize it, you cannot die even if you want to.

This complete loss of self-autonomy.
Your freedom. Your will. Your personality. Your body. Your life.
Nothing is under your control anymore. Can happen at any time and any place in the world.
I mean, it fits. You give everything to Imu who seems to have absolutely no value for life either.

It makes sense to call Imu the Devil but I think its greatly underestimated just what kind of monster Oda has created here. We seen plenty of evil in this series but Imu seems to take it to an unprecedented state with their actions and what kind of atrocities are being enabled in this world.
