Not really, destiny is something someone will end up doing regardless of their desire.

Inherited Will is something someone chooses to do because of an inspiration in their life.

For example:
Luffy is destined to become a Warrior of Liberation, not because of his choice but because of who he is.

Simultaneously, Luffy inherited the Will to be a great pirate due to Shanks and this became his Will to be the pirate king.

Destiny ia something that will happen for sure.

Inherited will is something that you will pursue for sure.

It is close but not the same.

I disagree. Inherent will in One Piece seems much more like the person already born with it.

Like Sabo wanting to be free.

They are not, but Oda is forwarding fate to Luffy.

An example of inherited will is Zoro carrying Kuina's dream, as she died, now Zoro is carrying her dream along, he will be becoming the greatest swordsman for both of them. We can also mention Sanji who also carries Zeff's dream.

With Luffy he follows a different path, he is not inheriting Roger's will, in fact he doesn't even know he has the same dream as Roger. Oda has already said that Luffy was born with a luck that could be mistaken for a hero chosen by heaven, so it's a big indication that things are very much in his favor.
